Earth provides enough to satisfy every man’s need, but not every man’s greed – Gandhi. Don’t change that lightbulb. As we approach more and more scientific certainty about the impacts of anthropological climate change, local climate action groups are forming. They are likeminded citizens who want to ‘do something’ and form these groups to attempt to encourage government action. Is it worth their time and effort? Buy your groceries in a reusable bag! Nero fiddles while Rome burns. These climate action...

2011: year of soup! | mavisandjack
https://herbivorous.wordpress.com/2011/01/23/2011-year-of-soup
Earth provides enough to satisfy every man’s need, but not every man’s greed – Gandhi. 2011: year of soup! We have a lot of cookbooks. A lot! Most of them are vegan but some are not – although a lot of the recipes are either vegan or veganisable. This year, the husband and I have decided that we will make soup. Lots of it! In fact, the aim is to make all the soup recipes we have, to see what we like and which we can abandon! I’m looking forward to this challenge! January 23, 2011 at 6:46 pm.

We stayed in the city for a day before driving down to U of I for some investigation. Probably because of the angle. The cover looks like this:. So of course. After the plane and car journey to our place of lodging in the city - what do we pass? Yeah We pass THIS - YES! Isn't that just freakin' weird? View my complete profile.

http://yarnjunkie37.blogspot.com/2007/04/yarrrrrrrr.html
Amber is a yarn junkie. Monday, April 30, 2007. I finished my "We Call Them Pirates" hat! It's great. for the most part. I effed up a little. The rows on the brim don't match up 100%. Just the brim. How does that happen? WHY does that happen! Obviously I did something wrong, but at the same time, I have no idea what I did. Sigh. Here is the hat. I should make gloves out of that. SNB Devil Hat - It'll be finished this weekend. Gotta finish the crown and add the horns. If I have time before her birthday I'm going to take the spare yarn and make some quick matching wristwarmers. Clapotis - I am on the third repeat of Section 2. I ended up getting This. Why does is a blanket so hard? I'm knitting it on big needles. It's ...

Amber is a yarn junkie. Thursday, May 17, 2007. Baby Junk and Felted Things. I've been up to nothing lately, but very busy. Family from Florida came last week, so I spent a long time cleaning and I'm still not done. Can someone tell me how I have so much yarn? On to the fun knitting! Cat toys. The little mice from SNB Nation to be exact. I used this yarn. WARNING: DO NOT EVEN CARRY THESE AROUND WHEN THERE ARE CATS WITHIN 500 FEET. This particular mouse is for Jiro, the boyfriend's cat. http://i-like-lemons.blogspot.com/2008/05/scooped-knit-ice-cream-cone-patterns.html
Sunday, May 4, 2008. Scooped - knit ice cream cone patterns. What is it about you that casts a spell over us? As children we gobble you down with innocent glee. As adults we sneak you at midnight as a guilty pleasure. We try to figure out someone's personality by analyzing which of your flavors they choose as their favorite. You make a sticky, melty mess in the summer and you make us shiver in the winter, but no matter the season, we can't resist your call. Set of US size 6 double pointed needles. Rounds...

carrot bisque: YOS | mavisandjack
https://herbivorous.wordpress.com/2011/01/24/carrot-bisque-yos
Earth provides enough to satisfy every man’s need, but not every man’s greed – Gandhi. Our first Year of Soup recipe! This carrot bisque is from Vegan with a Vengeance, a book we have had for several years and rely on for some of its recipes. Carrot bisque must be one of the most economical soups! Taking out the pantry type ingredients, it required 1.3kg carrots (about $2), a can of coconut milk (99c) and an onion and some garlic (both of which i always have a lot of). Unbelievable! 2011: year of soup!
