We arrived at Gare de Lyon promptly for our TGV (train a grande vitesse - high speed train) to Aix-en-Provence. We got to the station about 2:30, and our train didn't leave until 3:07, so we had some time to orient ourselves in order to find the right platform for our train. Boarding took a little while as we had to wait for the SNCF employees to check the tickets and tell us where our seats were.

Stories from Parkway's experiences in Paris and beyond. Friday, June 14, 2013. As we headed further south, we stopped at Stes-Maries-de la Mer, a tiny city in La Camarque region. It was situated on the beach and was charming. The church was built on the burial sites of Saint Mary of Magdalene and Saint Mary, sister of Jacob who fled Palestine after the recorded biblical events.
