Monday, November 24, 2008. Metformin, Week 1. So it's been a week! I haven't updated because it has been a great week, issue free. Today is another great Metformin day. I can not believe how different this time has been from last. So far, I am sure I made the right decision to start taking the Met again. I will update soon after I begin the third pill. Saturday, January 17, 2009. Update, Still on the Metformin. :). Hello my PCOS Cysters,. I hope this blog finds you all well. I am sure some of you are waiting for your update, so here it goes. To drink a lot of water with Metformin so your liver can process it as efficiently as possible. Drinking compromises that process, so if you decide to drink, keep it to a minimum. Monday, November 17, 2008. Day 1, again. What a day, What a day. I took 500 mgs last night at bed time. I usually stay up to read for an hour or two, usually with a rumbling tummy demanding food, but I took the pill and about a half hour later, my stomach was not growling and I was tired. I guess this is why the bottle says "May cause drowsiness" :). So if you are reading this, and you are feeling any of what I have been feeling, please feel free to comment. I would love to hear your thoughts.

So, I have just completed nursing school and preparing to take the boards (keep your fingers crossed)! I have a job lined up if all goes well! In other news, I have upped my Metformin to 1500mg per day and just ended a period from hell.but at least I had a period. We were discussing my periods and this last one was so crampy (mind you, I just began having periods about 6 months ago when I began Metformin).AND Nurse Kathy thinks I may have ovulated! I decided to clean the house (like burning calories cleaning) before he got home AND do the laundry. He was so happy! Then, I baked 3 boneless, skinless chicken breast with EVOO, minced garlic and lemon juice. For sides we had whole grain brown rice and corn. It was so good! Wednesday, May 07, 2008. You can do it!
