Daph's Journey...: May 2011
http://www.daphsjourney.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Tuesday, May 24, 2011. Typically, a chinese wedding would not be complete without the tea ceremony. This ritual is an ancient custom intended to demonstrate respect and honor for family. We made the decision to do the tea ceremony without any family pressure simply because we knew it would mean alot to them and we wanted to give our parents that respect. My favourite part of the ceremony was actually the outfit! Okay lah, the ceremony was also very meaningful. I'm actually really glad we did it! Then ser...

Daph's Journey...: April 2010
http://www.daphsjourney.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Friday, April 30, 2010. Apologies for the long absence. This has been a time of reflection for me. With so much to do, so many happenings and so much to think about. Somehow just when I start to fret about the small things, God hands me something greater to think about that makes my worries pale in comparison. Maybe I worry too much. Maybe I have too much on my mind always. Not in much of a mood to elaborate but will do so in due course. They keep me going and they are my everything. And I am never broken.

Wednesday, December 30, 2009. The Land of The Forgotten. Myanmar, formely known as Burma. A world enclosed, forsaken and shun away from the rest of the universe, trapped within it's own evil and corruption. It is a world of glistering beauty. Hidden treasures of gemstones and historical artifacts that tell a story of their own. Stories of the past, of riches, royalties and intense culture. The lives of the common people are enslaved by these people called the military government. As they say,. All that I...

Sunday, January 31, 2010. A Clean, Shiny New Slate. It is not very often that one gets a second change at life. I happen to be one of those people. Who gets the second chance that is. Having journeyed from teenagedhood to adulthood and now embarking on a new journey as a wife, I am grateful for that second chance. Why do I call it a second chance? Well, because at one point of my life, I gave up on myself and everyone around me. In a way, I died inside. For some of the mistakes that I have made which sor...

Daph's Journey...: May 2010
http://www.daphsjourney.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Sunday, May 23, 2010. I spent weeks and weeks trying to think of a theme for the church wedding. I didn't want anything too girly nor too bright. But doing without a theme was a no-no for me. I am an extremely themed based party person. Browsing through different websites one day, I chanced upon a Tiffany Blue themed wedding. I was sold in two seconds! Tiffany Blue is such a nice calming colour. It gives that gentle, serene feel. I love all there is about it! First was the invitations. My other smart ale...
