http://pcusabloggers.blogspot.com/2008/07/but-he-was-asleep.html
Where Blogging is Decent and in Order. Wednesday, July 2, 2008. But he was asleep. I have always loved the story of Jesus quieting the storm. To think that Jesus was with the disciples the whole time the storm was brewing and raging – asleep! Why are you afraid? He asks. Why indeed? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Sharp About Your Prayers. The challenges, absurdities, and joys of an urban faith. I am a disciple of Jesus. Saying this out loud (typing this in a blog) seems, I’m sure, inexcusably pious and downright loony to many New Yorkers ( Really, Jesus! You look normal enough! Of course, one look at the original disciples and a person’s claim “to follow Christ” may seem less like a chest-thump and more like a confession. Did Peter and James, Mary and Martha have all the answers? Faith and the City.
And The City | Sharp About Your Prayers
http://sharpaboutyourprayers.com/the-city
Sharp About Your Prayers. The challenges, absurdities, and joys of an urban faith. Is New York City the least religious place I have ever lived, or the most? Demographic surveys and census polls should make this a no-brainer. Right? Almost 60% of the people who live within three miles of my church claim that they have no involvement in any faith easily, the highest percentage of any region in the U.S. So, the answer seems obvious: This is the least religious place I have ever lived. Faith and the City.

Living Outrageously for Christ. Saturday, August 15, 2015. Inviting God Into Your Marriage - 8/15/2016. August 15, 2015. Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? 160; Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.

Wednesday, March 10, 2010. A Little Tweaking . . . It's been forever since this blog has been active (ah, good intentions), and, quite honestly, I'd forgotten about it - until a couple of comments from an anonymous poster showed up this week. I'm sorry about that - and I've adjusted the settings so only those with a Google account can post, and you'll have to go through a "word verification" to do that, which usually eliminates the spam. If anyone is still reading here, how are things? Links to this post.
