I can't complain but sometimes I still do. Friday, January 06, 2006. One of my favorite cable channels, Trio, was killed last week by owner NBC Universal. The move was as surprising as the Houston Texans firing Dom Capers. No cable channel was ever more doomed to fail than Trio. How doomed was it? NBC Universal has moved Trio to the Internet. I suspect, because there is no room left in Siberia. Until our next click, Trio, so long. Posted by Steve Hyden @ 12:48 PM. Links to this post. Links to this post.

PPS I changed my comments settings so now anyone can leave a comment if they wish. The it could refer to anything capable of being picked, be it a favorite color, a zit or the fat kid nobody wants for the lunch hour touch football game. Two, verifying Mike Perket’s tragic home life would require going to his home, and the cost surely outweighed the benefit there. Posted by Steve Hyd...

I can't complain but sometimes I still do. Friday, March 03, 2006. First of all, I want to thank everybody for voting. There were 23 votes cast and more than 60 Robin-related posts. Without you and your votes, democracy doesn't work. Hey, do you remember that scene in "Mrs. Doubtfire" when Robin Williams throws an orange at Pierce Bronson's head and calls it "a drive-by fruiting"? Look, I officially have no clue what the hell is going on. We have now done five Does he suck? Elections, and I have been abs...

What is the worst job in the world? For shows where multiple takes are filmed for each scene, the TV show warm-up guy fills the down time with more jokes. Apparently, it is dangerous to make people laugh without preparation. It’s like running a race. You have to stretch a bit before hitting the track. The only guy who had it wors...

I can't complain but sometimes I still do. Tuesday, January 10, 2006. It's all right, it's OK, there's something to live for, Jesus told me so! Packer fans are crazy. We all know this. But are we "kill ourselves" crazy? Blogger follows the numbers. Posted by Steve Hyden @ 11:07 AM. Links to this post. Monday, January 09, 2006. Do you take the sugar? One lump or two? The problem with movies about rockers is that an actor can never be as cool as a rocker, creating an instant and insurmountable credibility ...

I can't complain but sometimes I still do. Thursday, December 22, 2005. To old friends that we forgot, blah blah blah, old lang syne". Today is Christmas, which means we are at the furthest possible point on the calendar from the next time we have to be subjected to wall-to-wall Christmas music. Enjoy the silence. The next holiday on the calendar is New Year’s Day which, interestingly, only has one traditional song of celebration, Auld Lang Syne. OK, so if I forget somebody, what should I do? Unfortunate...
