本篇文章摘自：商業周刊第 1067 期【專題報導】百大良醫專題系列報導. 不少人看病後產生「為何醫師幫不了我」的疑問，這表示溝通可能出了問題。若不是個好病人，縱使有十個好醫師也無用。不只醫師要跟病人建立好關係，病人也要懂得對醫師發揮正面影響力。以下，都是真實的案例。為何沒有一科醫師能找出真正的病因？原因是，醫師不可能在毫無線索情況下，幫病人找出病因。為何所有的降血壓藥都無法有效控制高血壓病情？原因是，醫師在沒有聽到病人說明的情況下，通常以病人沒服用任何藥物為前提來開立處方箋，然而，血壓之類的疾病，併服時不僅未能發揮作用，且常會發生嚴重危險性，譬如，可能造成血壓突然上升或脈搏異常跳動等現象。王良（化名）被診斷出罹患喉癌，醫師決定採取化學治療，雖然病情獲得控制，但過了兩年，又再次發現癌細胞，在醫師的建議下，王良的家屬同意將聲帶切除，由於手術相當成功，且王良不耐長久住院，在醫師的認可下，王良三天後即辦理出院。王良的家屬...再好的醫師、再好的醫療技術或成功的手術，都不保證上述的後果不發生。台北馬階醫院腫瘤科主任謝瑞坤即指出，找到好醫師固然重要，但，若不是...如何當一個好病人，其重...

許多人一定有相似的經驗，到診所或醫院掛號後，醫護人員從一大疊的資料中找出病歷，再送給看診的醫師，結束後再送回並歸檔。但礙於翻閱的次數過於頻繁，病歷容易出現破損，加上每次看診都會增加內容或是X光片、掃描圖等，病歷也愈來愈厚。傳統的紙張病歷不僅需要龐大的儲存的空間，還要有專人負責管理。此外 , 每位醫師的字跡都有所不同，若病歷上的字體不夠清晰易辨認，醫護人員容易因誤判而下錯診斷或給錯藥品，就會造成醫療疏失。創新的電子病歷上記載了: 個人病史、曾動過的手術、照過的影像診斷 ; 包括Ｘ光、電腦斷層掃描、超音波檢查等。此外電子病歷的功能並非只有紀錄病歷而已，它還可以是一種「個人的健康紀錄」，包含飲食紀載及規劃、運動規劃，血糖、血壓控制等，甚至還可以存放非醫療機構的資料，意即為不同來源的資料做整合與分類。如此一來，人们做自我健康管理就會更加方便了。傳輸的電子病歷資料都會經過加密保護，以保障個人的隱私及資訊安全。使用者除了可以將資料存放在個人電腦中進行自我健康管理，也可以委託個人健康資料管理中心或醫療諮詢機構. 1可攜電子病歷明年試辦 (聯合新聞網健康醫藥 /記者許玉君).

據美聯社報導，美國疾病控制與預防中心（CDC）的醫生史蒂芬·皮茨（Stephen Pitts）說，這樣的增加是因為供需不平衡。“更多人在等待急診治療，但是急診醫生卻更少了。”根據統計，在2006年，有1.19億人次去急診室就診，從1996年的9000萬人次上升了32%。然而同時期裡，醫院急診室部門卻從4900個降到了4600個。另一個原因是醫院的床位有限，要去看醫生的人只好都等在急診室門口。另外，外科或專科醫師短缺也是原因之一，所以很多病人很難和專科醫生約診，就只好先去急診室就診. 因此急診患者等待看診的時間持續在增長中，已經從1997年的38分鐘增加到2004年的47分鐘，到2006年的56分鐘。皮茨解釋這不是普遍現象，有些病人等較久，所以把平均時間加長了。他認為一半以上的人，其等待時間應少於31分鐘。訂閱：張貼留言 (Atom). 癌症會遺傳？破解防癌6大迷思 (摘自康健雜誌 115期).
