Jettison Cocoon: Book Review: The Son (2013) by Phillipp Meyer
http://www.jettisoncocoon.com/2014/03/book-review-son-2013-by-phillipp-meyer.html
Book and movie reviews and some other random opinions. Thursday, March 6, 2014. Book Review: The Son (2013) by Phillipp Meyer. A lot of the reviews of The Son. Have labeled it as The Great American Novel. I won't give The Son. The Eli section of the novel is one of the great western stories in American literature, albeit one that probably owes a debt of inspiration to Thomas Berger's Little Big Man. Even with some bumps along the way, The Son. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Paul Grzegorzek's Thriller and Crime Fiction World: July 2015
http://diariesofamodernmadman.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Paul Grzegorzek's Thriller and Crime Fiction World. Friday, 10 July 2015. Government racism or just par for the course? I know I'm supposed to try and keep this blog about my writing, but this year has been too up and down so instead I'm using it to rant! I'd probably better explain. On top of that, we're expecting our first baby imminently (the NHS fees having already been paid by mine and her contributions, before you say anything), and now we're supposed to magic up another £500 from somewhere? Thrill...

The Signal Block: October 2011
http://thesignalblock.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
The dark writings of Frank Duffy. Friday, 14 October 2011. A sort of review. No spoilers intended. Antwerp by Nicholas Royle. The book snakes its way through a minefield of complex and daring ideas. Obsession, the effects of abuse, personalities within personalities, the enduring role of art, perspective, and national identity, all of which take place in Antwerp as a series of brutal and unexplained murders plague the city. Readers’ expectation are well and truly confounded. I would recommend this book f...

I FEAR THE DAWN by Dr. Mel Waldman. July 30, 2016. Fear the dawn. The night and its soothing darkness are my cocoon. They protect me from an unknown danger. But when the crepuscular insects and I rise with the savage light of dawn, my fragile heart begins to pound. The pounding gets louder and faster. Soon, my hands tremble and my shattered soul case-my mortal shell of flesh-shakes uncontrollably. I fear I will die! I pop a couple pills to calm my nerves. I black out. Wanna buy my books? Where thriller author Dan O'Shea throws things downrange. Laquo; GREED is good. Paying the gas bill. November 19, 2013 by Dan OShea. Woke up before 5am today. Too much to do, too much on my mind, so going back to sleep was out of the question. Figured I might was well get up, get a jump on things, maybe back my to-do list far enough into its corner that I’ll sleep better tonight. Saw on Facebook today where a guy I barely know lost his father yesterday. From his posts, my guess is...

Wanna buy my books? Where thriller author Dan O'Shea throws things downrange. Laquo; Lucky bastard. The Kill Malmon Flash Fiction Challenge. Paying the gas bill. April 11, 2014 by Dan OShea. Haven’t posted in forever. Funny what pushes my buttons. Ah, but there’s a catch. Ponders again* This seems stupid to me. Why would a major corporation incent its customers to cost it money? Couldn’t be that, could it? On April 11, 2014 at 6:47 pm. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Build a website ...
