Which was the capitol of Japan for a period of 1000 years or so back in the 1300’s. It took two subway rides and a train ride to reach this city of 150,000 about an hour away from Tokyo, but still seemingly connected to its urban sprawl. Can you imagine entering a gymnasium full of 730 elementary students – all clapping enthusiastically? I definitely got my kid-fix today! All this time that we’ve been in Japan, and this was the first full day with kids, and boy (and girl) was it great! Mifunegaoka students in window. Student Chefs 5th grade. Some really awesome kids! There is no failure or retention.
