I trust you had a blessed weekend. . . My hubby, son, and I headed into the woods on Saturday. Where we picked out our Christmas tree. Each one of us has a splendid time together with lots of smiles and giggles :). The Cedar trees are loaded with blue berries this year. I was tempted to pick one out for our Christmas tree.

Mars de la Mancha strums by some windmills | Lorna Alkana Art

V[ i ]sual essays for a d[ i ]gital world. Mars de la Mancha strums by some windmills. I met Mars de la Mancha and Amanda (an amazing couple), about a year ago at the now transformed Cafeina Galeria. The cafe has since closed, but those who would frequent its twinkle-lighted backyard for storytelling and singer/songwriter sets ( like Marc, Amanda and me) have kept in touch. I’d like to say we’re still the Fireside Troupe. Which is growing every moment. I began the drawing once I had looked through pictur...

Picking Poppies: What's the word?
http://pickingpoppies.blogspot.com/2015/01/whats-word.html
Tuesday, January 6, 2015. Last year what I wanted, was to be more intentional. In my photography, and in my writing more. And in letting my passions drive more of my actions. More intentional about my time,. And in trying new things, and just with life in general. I wanted to be more intentional. That are important to me, and yet I wanted to keep it as simple as possible. And how did that work out? But I'm not, so I won't go there. Speak louder than the words before you. The role we play is so important.

35 years is no accident – peripheral perceptions

A look at life from the corners of my mind. 35 years is no accident. July 22, 2015. July 22, 2015. Sunday, Entrepreneur and I will have been married 35 years. On one hand it doesn’t seem like we’ve weathered life together for that long; yet, on the other hand, I have a hard time remembering times when he wasn’t in my life. One thing is for sure, 35 years is not an accident….or the luck of the draw….or the cosmic aligning of soul mates. Is not. And it’s completely our decision on how we spend it...All of ...

Discovering some loose ends – peripheral perceptions

A look at life from the corners of my mind. Discovering some loose ends. July 9, 2015. July 9, 2015. In caffeine-induced mind wanderings. Remember back months ago when I switched from a self-hosted blog to wordpress.com so I could simplify parts of my life? It also made me sad that I used to be able to spend a lot of time and thought into putting together posts and images. Nowadays, it seems I do well to throw something up a couple times a week at best. ABC Wednesday is a weekly romp through the alphabet...

A look at life from the corners of my mind. June 1, 2015. June 1, 2015. In Life Through the Lens. Guess I can cross another item off the bucket list. I didn’t realize this experience was even on the list, and it was definitely a first for me. I felt this warranted a trip to the vet. Weigh-in showed she had lost 2 pounds and was dehydrated! That’s not good.😦. We could do it at home. The fluid bag hangs in the laundry room. Midget is instantly suspicious. I’m still anxious. The word was chosen because of ...
