Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content. A sad knitter story. October 2, 2014. Here’s something that almost never happens. I’m leaving for Vancouver (Knit City yay! I still feel like taking out a little yarn insurance isn’t the worst idea I could have. You know. Just in case something bad happens – and sometimes things do. Can I tell you about my sister-in-law, Kelly? That’s a selfie Kelly sent me today – she’s knitting Encompass. Hard to explain in a place with no winter. Now imagine this....

http://knitpurldrop.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
I knit. I quilt. I spin, sew, weave, crochet, bake, run and garden too. I'm basically Martha Stewart, but without the whole audience thing. LOOK UPON IT'S GLORY! And lastly, the quilts. And here is my Batik quilt! I'll keep you posted- this baby quilt needs to go down and quickly. Monday, December 15, 2014. So it's been a while...

http://acunningplan.typepad.com/andsheknitstoo/2015/04/slow-scarfing.html
And She Knits Too! April 05, 2015. I'm a product knitter. I like having finished pieces. I like blocking and seaming and weaving in ends because they represent getting something done, and the opportunity to start another new project. The beautiful Kirkingwood Paisley shawl. I'm working on is one of those slow projects. I feel in love with it the moment I saw it ( Fiona. Was knitting it on my couch the first time we met in person*) and bought the pattern and Indigodragonfly. It's not really a pick up, kni...

Five of my favorite disaster movies – Snarkland
http://www.snarkland.com/2015/07/10/five-of-my-favorite-disaster-movies
Crafting since birth; drinking since noon. Five of my favorite disaster movies. I love a good disaster movie, but what makes it “good” can be subjective. For instance, it doesn’t necessarily have to be realistic in order for me to love it – I mean, come on, The Poseidon Adventure is going to be on this list, and that’s about as far-fetched as it can get. What makes me like disaster movies? Now, because there’s no way for me to list these in the order in which I like them (I enjoy them all equally! Tip of...
