The World Through Peaceful Eyes. A colorful look at Berlin through the lens of a Canon. On this page, I will be periodically adding more pictures from my trip to Berlin. I have many pictures that I wanted to post, so I think this method may be easiest. They are not in any particular order, but they all show different aspects of my wonderful trip. I hope you enjoy them! On my first day in Berlin, I had my first authentic street vendor Bratwurst, and it was delicious! Stine (left), Emily (right) and I afte...

The World Through Peaceful Eyes. A colorful look at Berlin through the lens of a Canon. All work and some play…. I’ve been so busy with my project, I haven’t really had time to post any new pictures on my blog! So here’s a recap of the past few days:. Stines apartment is amazingly decorated. A woman waters her plants on a sunny Friday afternoon. A couple walks down a quiet street near the Childrens Farm. When we arrived at the Children’s Farm, I was in awe: not only was it a place where children ca...

The World Through Peaceful Eyes. A colorful look at Berlin through the lens of a Canon. A little bit of history and a little bit of exploration. Sunday was an exciting day of history and sightseeing with Lisa Geuther-Sharpe from Berlin Original Walks. Here is one of the beautiful statues that was hidden in a bunker during World War II. Another beautiful building we saw while on the walking tour. The Memorial for the Murdered Jews of Europe. This proves that there is always hope for life. Here I am with t...

Thursday, June 11, 2009. A little bit of exploring. A little bit of relaxing. A little bit of family. After a familiar breakfast of cereal, toast and hot chocolate,. Brian took me to newgrange. Newgrange is one of the three larger grave passages in ireland. It was built over 5,000 years ago. It is a mound-shaped tomb made up of stones. Historians don’t know exactly what it was intended for,. But their guess is that newgrange was a place for rituals and ceremonies or a place where they buried the dead.

Tuesday, June 2, 2009. Day 20: back in the ghetto. After checking out of kate’s hotel,. The four of us, including kate’s roommate, lindsay, headed to church. It was the first time we’d been since being in europe. And it was so good. We went to the hillsong paris church,. Which was about a 30 minute walk from the hotel. Being able to worship the lord with a community of people was so refreshing and reviving. And being able to sing in french was so cool. After church, we grabbed some lunch. Funny thing is,.

We are starting to realize how tired we are. Here's some photos from the day. We started out with walking around town again. Lang needed to pick up some tea and a teapot. Then we made our way to the edge of town. To see the lion monument. It was designed as a memorial for the mercenary soldiers from central Switzerland,.

More expensive than paris. than anywhere. I paid 16 franc (which is equivalent to $16). For the mini pizza and green salad. Tomorrow, we will explore.

The lady and her husband bring in the stuff from morocco, where they're from. I wanted to get so many things,. But once again, lucerne is too expensive for me.
