A test, to see what happens. On peaches and raisins. June 9, 2012. Names Words that define, set boundaries, determine what is and isn’t. Words that gift connotations. When I was about 14 one of my friends started calling me peach. Later that same beloved young man who nicknamed everyone he knew went through a few months calling me raisin. At some point I became attached to those two words, belonging to food and fruit, but belonging also to me and meaning I was loved. On peaches and raisins.
