My Peanut Butter Problem: sometimes love takes you by surprise
http://peanutbutterproblem.blogspot.com/2012/12/sometimes-love-takes-you-by-surprise.html
Friday, December 7, 2012. Sometimes love takes you by surprise. We met on a date. But we weren't with each other. I was with his roommate, and he was with his girlfriend at the time. How convenient. :). We became good friends. The thought of dating him never even crossed my mind. He already had a girlfriend, and he was shorter than me (or so I thought). After a few months, his relationship with the other girl ended. I told him I was sorry. We stayed friends. And the whirlwind began. Turns out, he was.
My Peanut Butter Problem: life lately
http://peanutbutterproblem.blogspot.com/2016/02/life-lately.html
Monday, February 8, 2016. Yes, I know. It's been a really long time since I last posted. I'm awful. But I'll let you in on a little secret. It's actually a big-ish secret. Almost 100k words of a secret. In the time since I last posted, I wrote the rough draft of a novel. (! This is not my first novel, but it's definitely the best one I've done so far. which hopefully means any future novels I write will continue to see me improve my craft. Baby Boy started walking! Currently counting the days until sprin...
My Peanut Butter Problem: that first moment
http://peanutbutterproblem.blogspot.com/2015/08/that-first-moment.html
Monday, August 3, 2015. I was so scared. The fear was tangible, like a thick tar running through my veins. My fingertips tingled as tiny tears leaked out of the corners of my eyes. I stared up at the surgical lights ahead and tried not to think about what was going to happen on the other side of that blue paper curtain just under my chin. The lights were bright and reminded me of the dentist. But bigger. And scarier. Because somebody was going to cut open my abdomen today. Ow," I moaned weakly. And then ...
My Peanut Butter Problem: in which my mountain dew nearly kills me.
http://peanutbutterproblem.blogspot.com/2012/12/in-which-my-mountain-dew-nearly-kills-me.html
Tuesday, December 18, 2012. In which my mountain dew nearly kills me. Fiance and I finally finished our 21-hour drive to my parents' house. And it was an uneventful trip (thank goodness). Except for one thing. It was my turn to drive. Fiance was napping in the passenger seat, and I was singing Taylor Swift songs to myself and guzzling Mountain Dew to stay awake. Soon, my bladder started to fill up. Good," I thought. "Another thing that'll keep me awake.". What if the police pulled me over for going 90 mp...
My Peanut Butter Problem: dear c-section scar
http://peanutbutterproblem.blogspot.com/2015/05/dear-c-section-scar.html
Friday, May 1, 2015. Dear c-section scar,. Sometimes I hate you. I see you in the mirror and I hate the way you look. Hate the way you make the skin on my lower abdomen pooch out. Hate how no matter how many crunches I do and how many pounds I lose, you’re the reason the pooch won’t ever go away. I hate the way you feel under my fingertips. I hate how you’re numb in some places, and how it gives me goosebumps to not be able to feel my own fingertips on my skin. Because of you, I get to look into the brig...

Growing, Laughing and Loving in Life: He's Here
http://growinglaughingandlovinginlife.blogspot.com/2015/05/hes-here.html
Tuesday, May 5, 2015. I'm late in announcing this, but our latest bundle of joy arrived on February 9, 2015 at 8:07pm. Baby Cashew weighed 7.1lbs and was 19.5" long. Head full of hair, amazing temperament and enamored with his biggest sister as soon as he saw her. Cashew will be three months in just a few days, (where does the time go! But he is the perfect addition to our family. Our rainbow baby has brought us so much joy, and in addition to M, we count ourselves so unbelievably lucky.
My New Lines: June 2015
http://www.mynewlines.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 29, 2015. Summer: A Love Affair. When I was a kid, I actually hated summer. I didn't like the heat and I didn't find much enjoyment from being outside. I preferred TV or playing make believe in an air conditioned home much more enjoyable. But our passion was gone. Last summer I was pale, tired, and most of all, out of touch. I had actually felt like summer and I had broken up, for good. And I mourned that loss. Summer is handfuls of fresh cherries, bare feet in the grass, and a water logged ...
Gabe & Alexa: Things you shouldn't say to someone going through infertility
http://gabeandalexa.blogspot.com/2015/07/things-you-shouldnt-say-to-someone.html
Tuesday, July 21, 2015. Things you shouldn't say to someone going through infertility. That's pretty freaking personal. It grates on me. It doesn't just bother me because I find it incredibly nosy, it bothers me because I know there are couples out there that have been trying to get pregnant WAY longer than we have, and still hear insensitive things regularly. People who are miserable and exhausting every option. They have a pretty good reason to feel that way. Infertility sucks.). 1 "Have you tried?

http://redheadmemories.blogspot.com/2015/06/how-we-wore-it-keepin-it-casual.html
June 24, 2015. How We Wore It: Keepin' It Casual. Yep, I'm "fashion blogging" again. Don't hate. It's fun. As I sit here trying to start writing a blog post, I just laugh. Because it's really hilarious that I ever decided to start a blog in the first place. Writing really isn't my strong point. And yet, here we are. Here's the original outfit via Robin Vilate. Top: Borrowed from sister, Nordstrom. Overalls are my favorite. A small pain when you have to go to the bathroom, yes. But worth it. Duh, overalls...

My New Lines: August 2015
http://www.mynewlines.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Friday, August 28, 2015. At the end of every holiday with JaiseAnn- and even each season- I get a heavy feeling in my heart. For the longest time I couldn't pinpoint why I felt so blue about it. I mean, I've always gotten end-of-holiday blues- especially anytime it involved time off with Zach only to return to our regularly scheduled programming, but this has been different. I distinctly remember laying JaiseAnn down for bed after Easter. Will I even remember what our days were like? Motherhood is a cons...
Livy Love: Post Baby Weight
http://www.livylove.com/2015/08/post-baby-weight.html
Thursday, August 6, 2015. I have been waiting a long time to finally write about my weight loss after baby. I am 2 weeks post partum and feel really great! I am very motivated to get back into shape. While in the hospital, I let myself eat whatever I wanted from the hospital cafeteria, which in all honesty isn't that horrible. I did let myself have a few slices of cheesecake and some cookies, but I knew once I got home, I wanted to start monitoring what I ate. I tried on my size 12 jeans and they fit!

My Peanut Butter Problem
Friday, November 4, 2016. Annie's birth story - VBAC. So many people have been asking me to write up my birth story, so even though I rarely post on my blog anymore, here it is. Birth story for our beautiful Annie. But, just because what the heck, I asked him to strip my membranes for me to see if that would help move things along. It wasn’t going to work, though. My son had stayed in until my induction at 12 days late, and we all saw how that ended up ( see c-section birth story here. In my dreams, I wa...
