Peanut Caravan: Ah, glorious sleep!
http://peanutcaravan.blogspot.com/2010/06/ah-glorious-sleep.html
Sunday, June 20, 2010. Ah, glorious sleep! Did not want to get up today.well, yesterday. I'm not even sure that I was that tired, but I did laundry yesterday, including my bedclothes. There's just something.delightful, about showering and slipping into a clean bed. You're clean, the sheets are clean.it's very comfortable. Maybe I'm just more fond of slumber than the average person. Hey, at least I know what I like. Ha! Posted by Peanut Caravan. Variations On A Theme. June 28, 2010 at 9:16 PM.
Peanut Caravan: May 2010
http://peanutcaravan.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Saturday, May 15, 2010. Lessons(and other stuff) learned. Over the past few weeks, I've gained some insight into several areas. It's much easier to watch TV than to write a blog. Not that it's hard. Exactly. Just requires me to think, I guess. Way easier not to think. I've actually been too lazy to play my Xbox, much less write anything. Of course, everyone in middle Tennessee knows that things have been rather hectic lately. I learned that the old saw about it not being if. I need to start using my phon...
Peanut Caravan: April 2010
http://peanutcaravan.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Monday, April 19, 2010. Shortly after my last post, I remembered what I had intended to write about in the first place. Don't have the time right now, but I'll probably get it up here soon. Haha! Posted by Peanut Caravan. Saturday, April 17, 2010. Attack of the biscuits! So I'm all ready to rant. Sort of.not really. Well, maybe. Yesterday morning, I thought it might be nice to use some leftovers and make a snack. Actually, I'm going to do that now. I have no earthly idea. I doubt even vehicular manslaugh...

Saturday, April 17, 2010. Attack of the biscuits! So I'm all ready to rant. Sort of.not really. Well, maybe. Yesterday morning, I thought it might be nice to use some leftovers and make a snack. Actually, I'm going to do that now. To write about. I've been alternately pissed off about the banking bailout fiasco(old news, I know) and healthcare reform over the past day or so. Throw in a dash of road rage and I'm just full-to-bursting with anger. Ha! I have no earthly idea. Posted by Peanut Caravan. Im gui...
Peanut Caravan: Crank(I think).
http://peanutcaravan.blogspot.com/2010/09/cranki-think.html
Sunday, September 12, 2010. The pharmacy tech and I explained that is indeed the case. I even went so far as to say that, "They think I'm making meth." "They" being our government, of course. That brings me to the meat of my post. What good does it really do to record individuals' information when they buy one or two packages of brand name decongestants containing pseudoephedrine? My ruse would eventually be discovered, but who knows how many times I could get away with it before being caught?

Variations On A Theme: April 2013
http://thematicvariations.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
Variations On A Theme. Tuesday, April 02, 2013. Gift from Tatiana: Nikiforos Vrettakos. The local public library does not have his books, so I just ordered a book of his selected poetry, Thirty Years in the Rain,. Used from Amazon.com. Thank you Tatiana! A smaller world (from Diary, translated by Rick M. Newton). I seek a shore where I can fence in. A patch of the horizon with. Trees or reeds. Where, gathering infinity,. I can have the sense that: there are no machines. Or very few; there are no soldiers.

http://thematicvariations.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Variations On A Theme. Friday, November 30, 2012. Well, first of all, hello Tatiana and Georgette. If you are still out there in cyberland, that is. Tatiana, I hope you got my post through my husband's facebook account awhile back. I have run away from facebook and will most likely never return. Second, I'm terribly tired of myself. As usual. But I miss reading poetry. And posting a poem a day will help me read poetry again. I just bought six or so books at a used bookstore. The voice of your eyes is dee...

http://thematicvariations.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Variations On A Theme. Thursday, January 24, 2013. Bukowski's got your number. My poetry teacher wrote books about Charles Bukowski. My poetry teacher writes good poetry. So I assumed Bukowski would too. And maybe he does. I don’t know. I DO know that I was going to read just a few poems of his the other evening and found myself up til past midnight nearly finishing off his Love is a Dog From Hell. How come you’re not unlisted? The men phone and ask me that. Are you really Charles Bukowski. O yes, I write.

http://thematicvariations.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Variations On A Theme. Wednesday, February 08, 2012. Esmerelda, this is for you. Mary Oliver. I've read it several times today. And I think I've posted it here before. I can't stay away from it. Wild Geese (by Mary Oliver). You do not have to be good. You do not have to walk on your knees. For a hundred miles through the desert, repenting. You only have to let the soft animal of your body. Love what it loves. Tell me about despair, yours, and I will tell you mine. Meanwhile the world goes on. A much-need...

http://thematicvariations.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Variations On A Theme. Friday, March 16, 2012. Sitting at Provence, trying desperately to finish my thesis, I'm distracted by a small girl - maybe not quite two - who just walked past me, toting a stuffed and worn dog. The sweetness. The innocence. Her huge brown curious eyes. It made me cry. It's all too beautiful. Posted by Variations On A Theme at 8:17 AM. Variations On A Theme. Nashville, Tennessee, United States. Variations On A Theme: December 2012
http://thematicvariations.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Variations On A Theme. Thursday, December 27, 2012. Shrieking Ninjas, Mary Oliver, and Philip Schultz. Ben and his best bud are shrieking like hyper girls (though ninjas to the core) in this same room where I currently read Mary Oliver. The contrast not as severe as you might imagine. For some odd reason. Earlier this week, the kids and I had fun with the school reading specialist and her kids at the downtown library (how appropo! Last night I read Jack and Other New Poems. By Maxine Kumin and Blue Iris.

http://thematicvariations.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Variations On A Theme. Tuesday, February 05, 2013. I was introduced to Gwendolyn Brooks via Bedford’s Introduction to Literature. I liked her rhythm, easy rhyme, the simplicity then reveal. But it was just that. Simple. And I like simple. A lot. But this poem alone is not a proper introduction:. Seven at the Golden Shovel. We real cool. We. Left school. We. Lurk late. We. Strike straight. We. Sing sin. We. Thin gin. We. Jazz June. We. While working as a peon at Poetry. Gay chaps at the bar. Knew white sp...

Peanut Carvings™ . Com :. ART IN A NUTSHELL! Adding color and tonal gradation to my scribbles. To bring forward the resemblances that reside in the abstract patterns, it never seemed that far off a fetch to 'add' a body to what I thought looked like a bearded old man's head with a signature hood whose brim sits just over his eyes.
