Mara's World: September 2010
http://marashaw.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 27, 2010. OK, that title may be overstepping a bit, but hey.it's my blog! When I was little, my mom worked full time and my father did most of the cooking. His veggie choice always consisted of boiled peas (his favourite) that he would prepare and boil early in the day and the meat choice was always heavily peppered. To this day, my brother and I hardly ever eat peas! Once I decided on a recipe, I had to go shopping! I had to buy almost everything on the list! Yep, the final product!

Without writing what would we read? How else would be we disclose ourselves, our individuality, separateness and peculiarity? Without writing we have no message, we would lack the engineering marvels created by words. We need writers to have something to quote to better express ourselves and understand others. As Rabbi Salanter, once said, "Writing is one of the easies things: erasing is one of the hardest". The What. Of life would not exist if it were not for writing. Saturday, August 22, 2009. Mara's World: June 2010

Wednesday, June 23, 2010. Breakfast, Crackerjacks, Baseball, and Fireworks. A few days ago it was my husband's 31st Birthday, so to begin our day we went out for breakfast. Elysia loved the French toast, and she was quite the little hit in the restaurant! It was really nice, she was all smiles and chatty, and Steve and I were able to enjoy a really pleasant breakfast. When was the last time you ate Crackerjacks? Steve and I loved it, and it was the perfect way to end the day. What a Birthday! Steve is re...

For the love of foster: February 2012
http://fortheloveoffoster.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
For the love of foster. Thursday, February 23, 2012. I think we just crossed the finish line. My 'safe baby' training was awesome. It just made me more passionate about caring for a foster child (if that was even possible). I now have my first aid certificate - i hope i never have to use it. I got a call today while i was over at a friends house. She let me know that our home study was approved by the different levels in the ministry! Accept she said .in your case the placement workers. Sunday, February ...

Mara's World: February 2012

Saturday, February 11, 2012. My kids are growing up way too fast. OK, I know my daughter is only 2 1/2, and my son is (haha) only 2 months old, but they really are growing up way too fast! I can't believe my boy is already 11 weeks. How can that be? In some ways I don't mind. Elysia is now officially potty-trained. Yeah! We are officially out of diapers and into pull-ups and big girl panties. Woohoo! Elysia has an absolutely delicious sense of humour. I love it! It's nice and sad at the same time. I ...

http://downawindingroad.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Friday, March 20, 2015. Love is in the air! There has been love in the air since the first of February! There was a little joke about Valentine's Day this year. it being on a Saturday, I wanted to DO something, but wasn't keen on eating out or anything like that. So Bryan stepped up to the plate and made it a fun day! The morning started with me being utterly confused when I got up and nobody was home. :/ Well, the minions and Bryan had escaped to get me coffee and everyone donuts for breakfast! Pi day o...
