Climbing, skiing and other (mis)adventures in the Eastern Sierra. Monday, May 16, 2011. Four unknown skiers on Mt Locke with the Paiute Crags in the background. Focus changes with the seasons. The ski season is winding down and my psyche to climb rocks again is on the rise. I've been training on plastic a bit and have begun to try hard again (somewhat). I have also taken a new job. The mountain is located outside of Big Pine and sits just north of Split Mountain. The route up and down the east flank is very mellow, but the views are outrageous on this monster!
