The Telfers at Warragal Park: May 2013
http://warragalpark.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
Friday, May 17, 2013. An awful sight struck Roger as he rode his motorbike around the paddock this morning. He was checking the cows that are calving, to make sure they were OK and not having calving problems. What he saw was three dead cows at the foot of a tree. Three cows - dead under a tree :-(. Two of the cows had not yet calved, which makes the loss twice as bad. The third was very upsetting though, because she was a special cow named Annie. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). The Telfers at Warragal Park: January 2011
http://warragalpark.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Wednesday, January 12, 2011. Lambs Stuck in Mud. The smallest of the merino lambs were left unshorn. They will be shorn later when they are bigger and have more wool on them. They were taken to a paddock that has had no sheep in it for a while. The water in the dam has been evaporating over summer, and there is mud around the edge. So the poor lambs got more than they bargained for when they went for a drink. And this year I am taking my camera on holidays with me! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Wandoo Farm...

The Telfers at Warragal Park: July 2011
http://warragalpark.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Monday, July 18, 2011. The kids have been watching the BBC Earth DVDs of series two of " Orangutan Diary. During the school holidays. It is quite similar in format to the " Roo Gully Diaries. Orangutan Diary has really caught the imagination of the children. So much so that when I arrived home this afternoon I thought that a group of orangutans had taken over a marri tree in the yard! Hugh in the marri tree. Odette swinging from the tree, Amelia looking on. FOOTNOTE: I always used to spell it orang-utangs.

The Telfers at Warragal Park: Shearing the Rams
http://warragalpark.blogspot.com/2012/11/shearing-rams.html
Friday, November 30, 2012. The sheep at Wattle Creek have been shorn, and today was time to shear the rams at home. We had managed to keep the rams dry in the shed during the storm yesterday and last night. (We had over an inch of rain, which is most annoying at this time of the year.). Next the older merino rams were shorn. I really love the look of the horns on merino rams! Hugh loves to help in the shed, and he spent some time helping to sweep up wool off the floor. The Telfers at Warragal Park: October 2011
http://warragalpark.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, October 6, 2011. Perth Royal Show with Odette. I took Hugh's little point-and-shoot camera - no way was I lugging around a big heavy camera and lens all day! So in pictures, here is some of what we did at the show:. Went on the tea-cup ride (we wanted Odette to go on it because 7 years ago we went to the show and the operator had to stop the ride and get her off because she cried so much.). Went on the chair lift. Milked a pretend cut-out cow. Posed as/with Captain Cleanup. Fell off the wall.

The Telfers at Warragal Park: December 2010
http://warragalpark.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 30, 2010. Accident on Gibbs Road. They had to climb out the window when the van rolled onto its side. The kids were pretty sad to see the van like this. After skidding out of control the van side-swiped these trees before rolling. I had to call the council so that some workers could bring a loader and move the broken van off the road, as it was creating a hazard. Although there is never much traffic on this part of Gibbs road you never know when someone could come along. After the ente...
