Catching Ducks: January 2006
http://mamurd.blogspot.com/2006_01_01_archive.html
My pride and joy, etc. I've been having issues with my household technology lately. I've had DVD's that won't play, a computer that freezes up under the slightest provocation, and now a TV that's "backfeeding" power, causing my cable (and, since it went through the same wires, my internet) to go out. Maybe I'll look into that Luddite thing. Except that would mean giving up my microwave. Never mind! Posted by mamurd @ 11:30 AM 1 comments. Tales from the World of Retail.

Catching Ducks: November 2005

My pride and joy, etc. So Last night during one of my dreams there was this lake. And I was told the temperature of the lake was 109 degrees. I was quite freaked. When I had to traverse it, I was very careful not to get any of the water on me (there were dry spots and trees I used to get across). However. I saw other people wading through (apparently it was a shallow. Lake), and they weren't being burned like I expected. When I woke up this morning I figured it out: To me, 109 means 109 Celsius.

My pride and joy, etc. Here in the northern hemisphere, summer is fast approaching. People are all cheerful about the blue skies, lack of rain, and warmer temperatures. Blue skies, no rain, and warm temperatures! I want clouds, and rain, and COLD! If one more person mentions the "nice" weather, I think I'm going to SCREAM. Posted by mamurd @ 6:25 PM 5 comments. My pride and joy, etc. I gotta say: It's awfully nice having someone appreciate my baking. Every time I give Sotosoroto. Some cookies, his face lights up like it's Christmas! With his first guest he was making fun of Brokeback Mountain. Cracking all sorts of un-funny gay "jokes". His second guest was from the new movie Imagine Me and You.

My pride and joy, etc. My Pettiest Pet Peeve. People who put their headphones in the wrong ears. Yes, I really am that petty and ridiculous. But it drives me crazy! Each earpiece has a little "R" or "L", and when people stick the R in the left ear and and L in right ear. GRRR! It's bad enough when they're seperate earpieces, or the kind that go outside the ear, but the ones the have a headband and go inside the ear. ack! When you put those in the wrong way, it's really, really. And I am just so silly!

My pride and joy, etc. Posted by mamurd @ 7:17 PM 4 comments. Recently my friend Zanda. Described me as talking "nineteen to the dozen" - meaning I use nineteen words when other people would only use twelve. I don't know what. She's talking about. I'm not talkative at all. Jack and Soto will back me on this, right? Posted by mamurd @ 7:11 PM 4 comments. Remember that test I was freaking out about a couple of weeks ago? Posted by mamurd @ 9:58 PM 0 comments.
