We had a lovely 3 hour walk up the mountain, glorious views of the valley and ranges of hills and across to Mozambique. We bathed our feet in a mountain stream to cool off.

November 30 – December 7. We headed up the mountain to the Trout Farm camp site. No doubt set up by the British in days gone by. We wound round and round hairpin bends with me nervously asking Paul to slow down. It’s horrible when you are the one on the outside overlooking the precipice! There is a catamaran a...

I managed to pull onto drier land and we surveyed the damage: the rear wheel arch panel was dented and the lights’ cover smashed but fortunately the lights were still working...

Welcome to our India Adventure

On 17th November 2011, having packed up our home, put everything, apart from what we were taking with us, into storage, and sent Toffee off on his own long holiday to Lincolnshire to stay with Susie and Alex, we set off for Heathrow Terminal 5 to begin our 5 week adventure in India. Despite frequent exhortations from PJ to ‘pack light’, we set off with ‘only’ 3 bags to check into the hold, a pushchair, a car-seat, a back carrier for George and 2 pieces of hand luggage!

Everything Changes

The more messed up this world gets, the more God makes sense. Wednesday, November 22, 2017. While walking my dog Rusty last week he stopped near a large rock outside our yard and was sniffing intently. Usually I simply tell him to "Come on! And we proceed with the walk. But that day was different. He was determined to uncover something beneath the pile of leaves that were gathered around the rock. Then I thought, "Maybe Rusty has discovered a treasure buried in the leaves! Who is doing this? And after a ...

PJ's Pontifications

Saturday, December 31, 2005. So, as I get ready to go ring in the new year with some friends, I leave you with a song that, no matter how cheesy and life-affirming it is, really spoke to me and made me realize that no matter how funky things may get, there's always a clean slate the next day. And with that, here is Natasha Bedingfield. Can't read my mind. The pen's in my hand. Staring at the blank page before you. Open up the dirty window. Let the sun illuminate the words that you cannot find. 2005 is al...
