The start page displays a status of shared documents and current connections in the left panel and a list of favorite, local and public workspaces. Favorite workspaces can either be created manually, or added from the local or public list. Local workspaces are discovered automatically by searching for workspaces on your local network. Clicking on any hub name in the start page will bring you to the chat window. After joining a hub you can chat in public or private with members.

To be able to copy the files PeerAware will attempt to establish a direct connection between two users for optimal performance. PeerAware workspace behavior can be modified by creating custom peeraware scripts. A custom script is simply a web-page with a few default javascript functions that are called from PeerAware. To use a custom script you need to make it available on a web-server and configure your workspace to use the script by setting the workspace script URL. PeerAware provides a number of settings that you can modify for client behavior and workspaces running on your computer.
