Time is flying by. Katie was born at 10:07pm on january 24. It was a long, hard labor. by the time we checked into the hospital at 10am that morning, i was already having contractions 2 minutes apart, which didn't let up until i pushed her out 12 hours later. i did it with no drugs, though! Was an incredible coach (and is an incredible dad). Today, i took her for her 2 month appointment and first round of vaccinations. 2 months already! And i started our own consulting business. the state is processing our llc application as we speak, so we are expecting to get the official word that it has gone through any day now. good thing, because i'm going to need to get my business bank account opened ASAP! Wednesday, January 17, 2007. In Japan just after new years, most people have what is called a shinnennkai (New Years Gathering) Today I participated in one of many to come. Basically its a time to ask for everyone's cooperation for the coming year, and great excuse to grub and drink. Monday, January 15, 2007. Went out for dinner and drinks with a guy I work with here in Tokyo. We always go grab something grubbin to eat, and then its off to finish it off with Single Malt Scotch Whisky. Saturday, December 30, 2006. Dinner at Norio and Ayako's. Takashi and Kenji's kids. Its almost New Years so Norio and Ayako hosted a pre-new years party at their place.
