Sunday, May 25, 2008. It's time to go so I'll be off first thing tomorrow morning. The weather forecast seems reasonable and my three week visa is expiring so to the Great White North I go. I estimate my journey to Port Hawksbury will take me 9 - 10 days. Charlottetown could be reached from there within 24 hours providing contrary winds arn't blowing. Sunday, May 25, 2008. It's time to go so I'll be off first thing tomorrow morning. The weather forecast seems reasonable and my three week visa is expiring so to the Great White North I go. I estimate my journey to Port Hawksbury will take me 9 - 10 days. Charlottetown could be reached from there within 24 hours providing contrary winds arn't blowing. Saturday, April 19, 2008. Into the great behind. All right. Tomorrow we leave. 3 or so weeks at sea. Sounds wonderful to me but there are those of different opinion. We have no mechanical or other such problems and are fully stocked on food and water. As far as I can tell we are as prepared as we can be. This leg will be the longest time I have spent at sea, and I am personally looking forward to it with a mix of youthful anticipation and elderly caution. Sailng north on the viking route. Monday, July 21, 2008. Looks like tomorrow is time to fly the Noddy Bay nest. I've been gifted special glove/mitts and wool socks for my trip knitted locally. The water hear smells and tastes fine. I wonder why it's so yellow? But I've been reassured that nobody has died of it yet. According to the latest iceberg reports - if I don't run into one in the first three days I should be in the clear. I do hope to get some good pictures of them though - at least one big one.
