Some knew how to grow food by theyselves are able to sustain. Some had knowledge of what is edible and non-edible in the wilds, they managed to survived. The most unfortunate are those who didn't had any knowledge on food and crops. Why are you not ploughing the fields? People are starving, we need the food!
