Fresh from the markets of Lion's Arch. January 3, 2013. As I type this post, the snow has melted from Lion’s Arch and Tixx the Toymaker has packed up his Infinirarium and flown off. Goodbye to snowball fights — which I will miss immensely — and ugly sweaters and hello to, well, whatever new adventures Tyria has in store! In the real world, I had a very busy holiday season, which resulted in lots of cooking (some of it blog related) and not nearly as much time for games as I would have liked.

Chill of the Grave. Observations and Opinions of a Forsaken Frost Death Knight. Putting the "Death" in Death Knights. Are Death Knights actually dead. It's a question that comes up far too often in places like LiveJournal's warcraftsues. Community, which has seen a parade of beautiful, warm, unrotted, pregnant. Not-a-Death-Knights in the past year. But putting aside people who want to have blue eyes and pretend to be a High Elf, people who want to be Drow. And how did they get that way? Died at the begin...

Chill of the Grave. Observations and Opinions of a Forsaken Frost Death Knight. Shards of Ice - A Story About Dariahn. Stratholme - Seven Years Ago. Etheris smiled back at the boy with a kindness that belied the darkness of the link between them. “My name is Etheris. I am your master, Dariahn.”. 8220;Master.” Dariahn echoed, eyes still wide with confusion. Touched you like that? Etheris cooed reassuringly, trying to hide the predatory edge to his grin. Chill of the Grave: An Unholy Terror
http://chillofthegrave.blogspot.com/2010/12/unholy-terror_27.html
Chill of the Grave. Observations and Opinions of a Forsaken Frost Death Knight. I returned from my holiday trip this weekend to my roommate informing me that DW Unholy is not only a viable spec but is also a lot of fun. I dabbled in Unholy ages ago, but. Since 4.0 I was sitting on a Blood spec I pretty much never used because that's what happens when your roommate is addicted to tanking. He nudged me to give it another try, and in between my struggles with Yellow Dot Syndrome. Initially I was a little di...

Chill of the Grave: Alas, Poor Koltira
http://chillofthegrave.blogspot.com/2010/12/alas-poor-koltira.html
Chill of the Grave. Observations and Opinions of a Forsaken Frost Death Knight. Alas, Poor Koltira. This post contains SPOILERS for a quest chain in the Western Plaguelands. Consider yourself warned! I guess most of us found better things to do than stand around giving out quests, because there are only a handful of Death Knight NPCs outside of Northrend and Ebon Hold. However, there are two who play a significant role in the conflict over the town of Andorhal in the Western Plaguelands:. I suggest to Bl...

Chill of the Grave: Good Ol' Subtlety
http://chillofthegrave.blogspot.com/2010/12/good-ol-subtlety.html
Chill of the Grave. Observations and Opinions of a Forsaken Frost Death Knight. I've decided, in the interest of having more to write about for this blog, I'm also going to talk about Forsaken in general here. Death Knights hooked me so completely because, in addition to being a plate-wearing melee class, they're also inherently Forsaken-like. The Forsaken are easily my favorite race to RP. On the left there is a Gilnean Envoy, the PVP weekend NPC for the new "Battle for Gilneas" battleground. Chill of t...

Chill of the Grave. Observations and Opinions of a Forsaken Frost Death Knight. Patch 3.3.3 Notes, A.K.A. Blizzard Loves Me. As of this writing, the Patch 3.3.3 notes. Have some pretty delicious changes for Death Knights, especially of the Frost DW variety. Go on, take a look at them. I'll wait. There are three of these that I find particularly exciting for DW Frost in general and my playstyle in particular:. Nerves of Cold Steel. Now increases off-hand damage by 8/16/25%, up from 5/10/15%. Chill of the Grave. Observations and Opinions of a Forsaken Frost Death Knight. Dariahn does not actually exist, except in the mind of his creator and on the Thorium Brotherhood server. He enjoys long walks through the snow, armor with skulls on it, and letting his runeblades dine on the souls of those who would threaten his people. Stories about him and his personal journal are posted at dariahnwheeler.livejournal.com. Art by the amazing Sihu from ThoBro. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Chill of the Grave.
