Pennine Pedalling: Weets sunset ride
http://penninepeddling.blogspot.com/2015/06/weets-sunset-ride.html
A blog for the love of cycling, bicycles, the beautiful countryside around me. Thursday, 11 June 2015. I've been meaning to ride up Weets for sunset for well over a year. Well last night I finally got round to it. Although the logistics of Stephen's work meetings and Deborah's shopping delivery meant we were a little later at the summit than I'd hoped for and we also cycled a bit faster than I'd have liked- so no nice golden photos for the ride out. 17 June 2015 at 11:50. Such lovely pics. Youd love ...
Pennine Pedalling: April 2015
http://penninepeddling.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
A blog for the love of cycling, bicycles, the beautiful countryside around me. Friday, 24 April 2015. And a sunset ride. And the second ride of the day - a drab sunrise this morning, a drab sunset this evening. 22 miles to a meeting to form a committee regarding aiming to get a new greenway sorted out in the area. It will be a lot of work and will be a slow process, but if we're successful it will be really wonderful. Good morning bicycle, good morning world. Dawn chorus. Baby's fed. It did not blossom.
Pennine Pedalling: February 2015
http://penninepeddling.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
A blog for the love of cycling, bicycles, the beautiful countryside around me. Thursday, 26 February 2015. One last bike ride before the birth? The last stretch was canal and disused railway. A guy who looked the spit of John Simm passed me on an old drop-handle steed as I was taking a photo. Anyone know if John Simm cycles? I wonder how many people with mobility problems would even consider that a bicycle could be the answer to them being more independently mobile - probably not many. I know it woul...
Pennine Pedalling: Miles & smiles
http://penninepeddling.blogspot.com/2015/07/miles-smiles.html
A blog for the love of cycling, bicycles, the beautiful countryside around me. Monday, 27 July 2015. It's proved very easy to get used the trailer over the last few weeks. I'm faster at getting everything we need together and getting out of the door. And with timing when Frank looks sleepy so I can set off before he starts getting upset and he is rocked to sleep in no time. 28 July 2015 at 06:15. Pleased to see that your riding is going from strength to strength. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). There...

A blog for the love of cycling, bicycles, the beautiful countryside around me. Friday, 22 May 2015. View from the settee. I only managed one tiny ride this week; into Nelson for the Pendle cycle forum. Wow there's a lot of cycling events there in the next few months. In the run up to this year's Colne Grand Prix. And the Tour of Britain. S second day stage through Ribble Valley and Pendle, there will be rides on which will tandem with the Lancashire Cycle Challenge. Can you tell I'm missing my bike miles?

It takes two to tandem ….Phil and Imo. Seattle to Los Angeles by tandem. Seemed like a good idea at the time…. About Phil & Imo. We’ve only flippin gone and done it. Well, we’ve done it. Seattle to Los Angeles in just 6 weeks. 1,558 miles cycled. With the last 35 ish miles of the home straight to do today a pretty leisurely start, no 5.30 am wake up call for us. Tim Tom's Time To Think Turino!: 'Duathlon Doo', 'Triathlon Tim' call me what you like I've had a swim...
http://challengemenace.blogspot.com/2015/05/duathlon-doo-triathlon-tim-call-me-what.html
Tim Tom's Time To Think Turino! I dunno why anybody's doing this'. Sunday, 10 May 2015. Duathlon Doo', 'Triathlon Tim' call me what you like I've had a swim. This week I thought I would write out a basic training plan (below) and see if this would help motivate me. Monday was also the day that I paid £40 to enter the ballot for a place in the London 2016 Marathon. Do I really want to do this? Wednesday was a great day. On Wednesday, sticking to my plan, oh yes, I swam! Friday and my plan went to pot....
Tim Tom's Time To Think Turino!: No PBP. Another PB. A forest. Training for the olympics.

Tim Tom's Time To Think Turino! I dunno why anybody's doing this'. Saturday, 18 April 2015. No PBP. Another PB. A forest. Training for the olympics. Today I did not ride my planned PBP 300k qualifying event. There went my plans for PBP. Not to worry, I successfully completed same in 2011. I've got the medal. I haven't got the shirt though because I gave that to Chris. Phil Brown was running today too which was nice. He also achieved a PB and felt I had inspired him to do so. SJ running the London Marathon.
Tim Tom's Time To Think Turino!: June 2014

Tim Tom's Time To Think Turino! I dunno why anybody's doing this'. Saturday, 28 June 2014. Did not post anything over past couple of weeks because I was away on my family holiday. Had a lovely time in Charmouth despite not riding a bike at all! Managed to complete a series of 5k runs, however, as depicted by the GPX track logs below. I dunno, but will post about same somewhere in time. Whilst away, I also swam a little. Oh, I did enjoy my holiday! Sadly, work resumes next week. Friday, 13 June 2014.
Tim Tom's Time To Think Turino!: December 2014
http://challengemenace.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Tim Tom's Time To Think Turino! I dunno why anybody's doing this'. Wednesday, 31 December 2014. Lunar supporting Doo's Rapha challenge. Started this week with a lengthy commute - my regular commute with added k's to dig deeper into my Rapha Festive 500 challenge. How irritating it was that I had to work 12 hours before I could pedal home on this commute. Brr, it was starting to get cold too! Rapha ride 4 with The Phantom. Tuesday was just as cold as Monday! 3 pairs of socks and my feet still felt cold...

Tim Tom's Time To Think Turino! I dunno why anybody's doing this'. Friday, 29 August 2014. Badger cooling and the Stroud 5 Valleys. Started the week by going for a blast around the AM SR 1 route. Had been ages since I last cycled this route and it re-reminded me what a great loop it was. Kay-O, my single-speed road bike was my weapon of choice. I had almost forgotten how awesome she was too - even better now she is equipped with a dynamo hub and front light. Well, guess what . Sure enough, I found one wi...

Tim Tom's Time To Think Turino! I dunno why anybody's doing this'. Friday, 27 February 2015. Snowdrops and such like. Saturday was a great start to my week (in 2015, all my weeks start on Saturday). This was the day that I completed the Snowdrop. Audax for the 4th time (I think). The Snowdrop Express (as it's actual full title) is a great event and the first. This was the first (and probably last). ECE I had ever completed. This is what the. Audax UK website has to say about. The regulations and process ...

Pennine Pedalling
A blog for the love of cycling, bicycles, the beautiful countryside around me. Thursday, 24 August 2017. Back in March when the Flying Scotsman went to Ribblehead. One short but memorable ride from earlier this year was a ride from Ingleton to Ribblehead viaduct to watch the Flying Scotsman traverse the beautiful viaduct. I drove up from home through some heavy rain showers and had fully expected a drenching, but luckily the ride avoided all those pesky rainclouds. Wednesday, 23 August 2017. A ride from ...
