The Not So Nightly News. Saturday, 21 January 2006. The good/bad news is that it snowed 8 inches last night in Ottawa and the guys had just come in from shovelling wet, heavy snow/compared to sunny, breezy 65F here in Brenda, AZ. When we were out this morning before moving sites, we filled up our propane tank and there was a lady in the parking lot selling citrus fruit so I got some oranges and grapefruit. I just had an orange and it was really good. The prices were good too - 4/$1! Links to this post.

The Not So Nightly News. Saturday, 14 January 2006. Checking out the Area. Today we drove to San Luis, AZ which is a small town of about 20,000 people and about 20 miles south of Yuma on the Arizona/Mexico border. It wasn't the interesting small town I had hoped so we just drove through it to the border and returned to Yuma. After that, I came in and made some potato salad for dinner, read some more, had a nap and here I am watching Law and Order. Links to this post. Friday, 13 January 2006. Since I've b...

The Not So Nightly News. Saturday, 18 February 2006. On to the Sedona Area. After yesterday’s cloudiness and last night’s extraordinary sunset, today dawned bright and sunny in Mesa. We only had two cloudy days in the three weeks we spent in Mesa. We walked out to the vacant land beside the park (I think it’s their expansion area) and took some photos of the sunset. It wasn’t as impressive as last night’s and my battery was about to give out so I came back and took Bib out for a wal...Links to this post.

The Not So Nightly News. Saturday, 4 February 2006. Canada Day in Mesa, Arizona. Mid-afternoon we went for our showers to be ready for the potluck at 5 pm Canada Day is a yearly event here and apparently at most parks in the area. Each year it is hosted by residents from a different province and this year was hosted by Manitoba. We had a great meal. I’m still stuffed! My handsome nephew is the farthest on the right. Thanks for the photos Nick and it was great to hear from you! Links to this post. Mostly ...

The Not So Nightly News. Saturday, 28 January 2006. From Countrified to Citified. As the office isn’t open till Monday, we haven’t checked in yet so don’t have a map of the park so will have to wing it. We do have better cable here than we had in Brenda, I should say we have more stations. It's quite a difference going from Brenda, in the country where you're surrounded by BLM land to Mesa, in the city where you're surrounded by freeways and shopping malls but we're here for two weeks! The Not So Nightly News. Saturday, 25 February 2006. Preparing To Move On! Today we’re getting mentally and physically prepared to move on tomorrow. We are heading to. Even though we don’t have a reservation at a campground. I have spoken with the office at the Prince of Tucson and have been told that they can put us in a water/electric spot probably for a night or two and then move us to a full hook up site. For a week we don’t really need full hook ups though. This afternoon I headed west to. I’m...
