On Sunday March 9th, 2014, approximately 200 concerned citizens laid their bodies down on Lake Superior in Washburn, Wis. to spell out the message "S.O.S. Protect our Water". The participants were of many ages and walks of life, but were united by a common goal: protecting the waters of Lake Superior and the Bad River watershed from the proposed GTAC Mine. This action also speaks against all other threats to our water: the Minnesota Boundary Waters Polymet Mine. Of Upper Michigan; the Keystone XL pipeline.
