Penrhos Trust: The Idea of the Trust

http://www.penrhostrust.org/p/the-idea-of-trust.html

The Idea of the Trust. But no one knows what the future holds, so perhaps more important is not just saving the buildings but putting them to good use. This entails a knowledge of some of the traditional methods of farming and food production: skills that should never be forgotten. Saving as many of these buildings as possible will add to the wealth of the nation in many ways. Reviving the buildings with new uses for them will bring back vigour into our countryside. Penrhos Trust: How the Trust Started

http://www.penrhostrust.org/p/how-trust-started.html

How the Trust Started. Penrhos is a group of farm buildings that date back to about 1280 when a medieval Cruck Hall was erected. Over the following 700 years, the buildings have been added to and adapted to suit the changing times and conditions. In 1880 a fire gutted the middle of the house, repairs were poorly made and the place fell on hard times. By 1970 Penrhos was abandoned derelict and about to be demolished. The story of GofDu - GofDu Part 1

The story of GofDu. The coastline of the small island of Holyhead on the north-west tip of Anglesey is as beautiful and rugged as any other in Britain. Historically known as Holy Island, it is separated from the main County by a small tidal river that can sometimes be crossed on foot at low tide. Those who do stay, or those who make a trecking tour of the island will actually find scenery of spectacular beauty, especially on the western coast. This cave has been known for generations of those who know of...
