June was damp and showery, but the weather did not deter garden visitors in Creigiau. Numbers were down on last year, but about 50 people visited the six gardens and Creigiau Primary School gardens, raising 520.00 for Carnival funds. If you weren’t able to visit, three of the gardens (Maes y Nant and Pant y Gored) are open again on Sunday 17. July for the National Gardens Scheme.

However two and a half hours later I had harvested potatoes, carrots, beetroot, peas, cabbage and a lettuce, and then I started on the soft fruits – gooseberries, raspberries, blackcurrants, strawberries and blueberries.
