Lovely Little Russia Home. February 22, 2015. We have been in our lovely little Russia home for two weeks people! Haaapppppy day oh happy happy day. It’s spacious and I don’t know how we’ll fill all the cupboards and closets! We couldn’t be more grateful and feel more blessed to say farewell to the suitcases for a while. First thing Hannah wanted to do on move-in day was go upstairs and find the toys. Sadly there were none to be found, but she was thrilled enough with her own big special bed! I’m r...

Update, it’s still winter here. March 26, 2015. Zero energy for a creative title! Time is like on roller skates or something, cuz I am seriously doubting the calendar right now. Almost April? No way. And my blogging goal has been low on the totem pole…. But yeah, way. Here we are. These two generally-happy-busy babes are just growing way faster than I can say happy. In case you were wondering, there is still plenty of snow over here (wish I could send some of it home! It was great. The mountain here ...

Monthly Archives: October 2013. October 1, 2013. Rhythm is something I love to talk about! So you lucky ducks out there, this is my personal shpill on the subject. Whether you are a parent, teacher, nanny, sister, uncle or child’s nursery leader, I hope you find something useful. Yeah But all full of rhythm. Yes, well that’s all fi...

A Season of Whirlwind. February 6, 2015. I will now define a whirlwind in four words: The. Past. Three. Months. 8220;You kidding me? 8221; To borrow a phrase from Hannah. No, no. definitely. I don’t think I could adequately describe why. Nor do I think I should try. But, I can say in all my thirty-one years (yes, yes, there are wrinkles) I cannot recall another time where I have prayed harder, cried more, slept less, ran a never-ending marathon on empty, felt more @#%! In the beautiful island of Sakhalin.

April 28, 2014. Since this year was kind of a big birthday (30! Aahhhhh. Yes, I have a gray hairs to prove it and look close you’ll see my wrinkles), I have been self-reflecting a bit. I was thinking how cool it would be to write yourself letters now and give them to yourself back then (all right I stole this idea from sister)? What would I tell myself ten years ago? Well here you go. Dear 10-year-old self,. Dear 16-year-old self,. Get a real str...

Fantastic Five: April, May, June, July & August. August 26, 2015. Ode to the the past fantastic five months… (with like a thousand pictures, just to warn you). Spaseeba, spaseeba (thank you, thank you): we. Started to say ‘do svidaniya’ to big snow drifts and ‘prevyet’ to unearthed grass! However, you could have kept the sick bugs away from.everyone. It is not great to be that popular, seriously. But you did lead us on a short getaway weekend to Sapporo, Japan! I’m still in awe at the. We survived anothe...
