Newer posts →. July 5, 2016. We really enjoyed making our faces – it was really easy and fun. All you need is a coat hanger and a stocking leg and some art stuff like felt, feathers, wool, pom poms. What you have to do is shape the coat hanger then pull the leg of the stocking over then tie it at the top! Then you decorate it with the felt wool and all the outher art stuff to make a face. Performing Arts at Port Elliot. I am enjoying Drama with all the students. I have watched many students become confident with their skills and abilities especially with projection of their voices. The Year 6/7 class are in the middle of reading and learning their lines for the whole class play that we are hoping to perform late next term. Next week we will start making the props needed for the performance. We are all very excited about working towards the same goal. Remember- imagination is the key.

We finished the term off with most classes walking around singing Frozen or top 40 songs. All students enjoyed learning the various songs chosen and they could sing them with ease and confidence by the end of the term it was nice having the students ask if they could sing certain songs as the worked through the door. I am looking forward to teaching singing with the Reception to Year 3 and finishing off Drama with the older groups. The Year 6/7 play is coming along nicely with props getting made and lines being learnt at a reasonably fast pace. I love watching the enthusiasm in this lovely group of students.
