Luckily, I had some friends in the office when it came time for me to ring the bell, so it was even more special that I was able to celebrate with them.and cry just a little bit. Because just like that, I am no longer a Peace Corps Volunteer, and I'm afraid my life will never be as challenging or interesting as it was then. But then, maybe not. Sunday, February 3, 2013. This isn’t the first time this has happened during my time here in. The next I heard of her was from Yadira two months later. She had been brought into the health center with labor pains, but when the doctor checked the baby’s heartbeat, she immediately sent her to the hospital in. When the relative came by the casa materna, she left a cardboard box on a chair out on the porch where I sat before she entered. I want that to not just be my own reconstruction.

Thursday, July 31, 2014. They are sweet corn or yucca that has been deep fried and covered in a cinnamon sugar syrup. They are incredibly unhealthy, and exceptionally delicious. My neighbor in San Carlos, Carlos, gave them to me after tutoring him in some English, and it was a perfect little dessert. Tuesday, July 29, 2014. Day at the Zoo. The puma was my favorite. Friday, January 31, 2014. This is How We Roll. What's the point of it all, really? The seat asked before falling to the floor. Because everyone else was traveling to the same brigade, the bus was packed. So standing in the aisle when the seat fell wasn't much of an option.
