Renaissance: Languages of Loooooove
http://renaissancejs.blogspot.com/2012/03/languages-of-loooooove.html
Tuesday, March 13, 2012. Right now at church we're in this series called " The Language of Love. It's based on Dr. Gary Chapman's bestselling book " The 5 Love Languages. When I read this book about 5 years ago, it really blew my mind. Somehow I had gone through life with the idea that everyone either was like me, or should be trying to be like me. Not sure how that happened, but as you can probably imagine, life didn't let me retain the point of view too far into adulthood. So if you're feeling up to it...

Renaissance: December 2012
http://renaissancejs.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 13, 2012. That came to mind as we are preparing for last week's sermon on Skepticism. I had a couple ideas of how this might look as a video. This was actually my "plan B" for the visual, but I really like the way it turned out. I'll save the "plan A" concept for another piece, I guess. I made the puzzle here. Shot the video with the 5D (thank you, Rhonda Ballard/ Sinatra. For being so perfect in one take! Thursday, December 13, 2012. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Renaissance: The Hardest Part
http://renaissancejs.blogspot.com/2011/08/hardest-part.html
Saturday, August 27, 2011. But as I said, that's the part that hurts so bad. It hurts to see someone you love making choices that you know will scar them at the very least, and have the potential. To destroy them and people around them. You can talk to them. You can try to get through to them. You can come along side them. You can do all that stuff and still have to stand by and bite your lip and wipe your eyes as they plunge ahead. Besides, you can radio me while I'm up there if you're so worried. K?

The unresolute resolution. →. Wednesday, January 8, 14. Last year I was introduced to weight training. Before that I had done a little bit with Jillian Michael's videos but I'm not really sure that counts as the most weight I picked up was 10lbs and I never really touched a barbell before. Plus as a runner we don't realize how much we are wearing down our joints and depleting our muscles, by strength training we are working on our flexibility and mobility. It's not just about lifting heavy ...Address nev...

Renaissance: The War is Over
http://renaissancejs.blogspot.com/2011/05/not-four-more-years.html
Thursday, May 26, 2011. The War is Over. Four years. It's an entire presidential term. An entire college career. It's the space that Olympians have to wait for another shot. For some people, four years can be an eternity. For others, I'm sure it flies by. Yesterday marked a four-year anniversary for me. Not one that I celebrated, or even commemorated, but one that I'm keenly aware of. Now, finally, after all this time, I feel like I'm at peace. V-J(eff) day! Now I'm not rolling out a big huge banner that...

https://musingatgrace.wordpress.com/2012/07/25/summer-running-love
Your PR isn’t worth tripping me. Good riddance 2013 →. Wednesday, July 25, 12. Summer is in full swing here in upstate NY and so is my training running schedule. I’ve been asked a lot lately about running and why i stick with it. i’ve learned over the years if i don’t enjoy something im not gonna stay with it and despite popular belief some people do actually like to run… even long distance🙂 so here’s a list of my favs:. 3) pre-run eat: multigrain blueberry muffins made with greek yogurt and egg whites.

Renaissance: What do we do now?
http://renaissancejs.blogspot.com/2012/11/what-do-we-do-now.html
Wednesday, November 7, 2012. What do we do now? Well it's finally over. Poor Abbey. Can at last get back to happy days filled with less Bronco and more Diego :). Today I posted on FB that "If we Christians cared more about people's souls than we did the election, THEN we would see real change." I want to elaborate on that just a bit. So what if that actually happened? What would that "real change" look like? First, think about what Christians are called to do and be. Seriously. Look at your words obj...
