Perplexing Simplicity: November 2009
http://perplexingsimplicity.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Come As You Are. Find out what I'm doing. Follow Me! Saturday, November 7, 2009. 1 I cannot stand black umbrellas. In fact, I find all single colour umbrellas unappealing, but black is particularly disliked. 2 My umbrella features a skinny girl with long braided hair and a messenger bag slung across her body cycling to Marseilles. 4 Yes, I cannot ride a bicycle. Or any other two-wheeler, for that matter. 5 Speaking of bags, I am not much of a handbag person. 6 I love rice. 8 I think geckos are kinda cute.

Perplexing Simplicity: September 2008
http://perplexingsimplicity.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Come As You Are. Find out what I'm doing. Follow Me! Monday, September 29, 2008. When I was at school, we used to have tests on subjects General Knowledge and Art. Yes, ART. The same thing Renoir did. They used to give us a theme, and we would have to draw a picture about it. This was one of the few subjects I was terrible at, apart from the Social Sciences. (Seriously, what is. The point in learning about the Battle of 1142 in 1999? The farmer was up the tree, and thus was hidden from view. Write at lea...

Perplexing Simplicity: June 2009
http://perplexingsimplicity.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Come As You Are. Find out what I'm doing. Follow Me! Friday, June 26, 2009. I seem to have run out of topics to write about. All right, I lied. I have not run out of topics, but that sounds better than whining about how I have so much to study that I have no time to breathe. It's old. So I stole this, I know not from whom. It's been around for a while. Apologies to non-medicos. We, Mrs and Mr Aorta-Brachiocephalic Arch. Cordially invite your esteemed presence and blessings. Anatomical accuracy be damned.

A Medico's Diary: May 2010
http://adayinthelifeofamedico.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Monday, May 10, 2010. Food and sleep are my holy grail. (Sort of. Despite not being Dan Brown, I don't care about inaccuracies.) I can never have them when I need them. I think the worst time is two in the night, when even the roaring from my stomach cannot keep me awake. Thus goes the life of a hapless intern, who, as the saying goes, is overworked and underpaid. Not for long, maybe. A huge maybe. Sometimes, I wonder about what it was like to be normal. I can't remember. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

A Medico's Diary: Romance, He Wrote
http://adayinthelifeofamedico.blogspot.com/2012/06/romance-he-wrote.html
Monday, June 11, 2012. Romance, He Wrote. A beach lit up by the full moon, breeze blowing in from the sea. A lovely young doctor with antiquated ideas about love and romance, despite being married for over a year, and to a curmudgeon at that. A curmudgeon, doing a poor imitation of a human being. Crabs (the marine kind, not of the itchy variety). The lovely young doctor, hereinafter referred to as Pancreas, and her curmudgeon of a husband, hereinafter referred to as Curmudgeon, or Mudgy, are having dinner.

A Medico's Diary: The Legacy
http://adayinthelifeofamedico.blogspot.com/2013/08/the-legacy.html
Monday, August 19, 2013. My niece is five-and-a-half years old. Her brother is barely three. She speaks with a clarity well beyond the capabilities of most eight-year-olds. He! She hates school. He hates going to school, and then refuses to come back home in the evening. My niece wants to be a doctor when she grows up. She's not old enough to know any better, but she's been saying that from the time she could talk. She knows where her heart is, and can listen to it with my stethoscope. A long time ago.

A Medico's Diary: The Labours of Pancruleas
http://adayinthelifeofamedico.blogspot.com/2008/02/labours-of-pancruleas.html
Sunday, February 17, 2008. The Labours of Pancruleas. I knew I would say this sometime, but I wanted to give it some time. Well, labour room was fun. We got to do a lot of cool stuff that only *cough* doctors get to do. You know, like, “Adrenaline, stat! 8221; and “Damn, here comes the next patient.”. Did you know that we don’t notice the sex of the baby unless we remember to check? Inserted an intravenous cannula. Foley’s catheters are mere playthings when compared to. Assisted the post graduate student...

A Medico's Diary: September 2011
http://adayinthelifeofamedico.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Saturday, September 3, 2011. Amidst great fanfare and rejoicings (or more accurately, sobs and screams of "FIX IT! His laptop. You know what means, don't you? Other than The Husband Is A Genius? It means pictures, people! Here are some from our trip to Ooty in the dead of winter. Best. Honeymoon. Ever. I looked like a homeless person, bundled up from head to foot, wearing ALL the clothes I had with me at the time, and STILL shivering like I had malaria. View from some dam. Basking in the sun at noon.

A Medico's Diary: October 2009

Monday, October 26, 2009. My Results Are Out And. THREE CHEERS FOR MEEE! Can you see me hopping up and down from the sheer joy? OK, use your imagination, then. Anyway, since I AM A DOCTOR! Now, does it make sense to continue to use "A Medico's Diary" as the blog's name? I have no idea. I mean, I AM DOCTOR! But I know next to nothing about actually being one. And it will take many more years before I go solo and do DOCTOR-ly stuff by myself. So I've made it all easier, and I'm letting you guys decide!

A Medico's Diary: Our Last Summer
http://adayinthelifeofamedico.blogspot.com/2012/02/our-last-summer.html
Friday, February 3, 2012. Clarification: It was not summer. More like the period just after the monsoons when it's stopped raining and it starts to get a lot warmer but not the bake-you-to-a-crisp summer heat yet. Yeah, that. We need a name for that. I christen it. Monlater. I am SO clever. Here is yet another picture of the lovely Adorable Pancreas and her wonderful husband Duodenum C. Loop. You are welcome. Not my handbag, by the way. I always read your blog. entha angine paranje? Study for your exams!

A Medico's Diary: July 2011
http://adayinthelifeofamedico.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Monday, July 18, 2011. I have been married eight months now. Except for all the prepping I've got to do (y'know, for yet another exam *sigh*), life's great. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out when you have found treasure. Yes, I am talking about The Husband. I mean, he buys me shoes without being asked, and that was more than enough to convince me that I'd struck Solid! Someday soon, I hope to be able to write something that is more than a placeholder post. Until then, ciao. A Slice of Lime.

Piątek, 30 sierpnia 2013. C) jaaa; bazy fluorsims :). Co tam u was?

Problem Found, Ya Got No Motor. June 15, 2014. Okay this is wierd. I’m no mechanic or anything but when I heard that this Subaru couldn’t do more than about 10 mph I had to have a look under the hood. What I found was alarming, the darn thing had only bicycle pedals chained into the tranny and no motor. Alright, lemme have a peek-see figure out what`s going on here. All this funny business in here and yet nary a motor in site. It doesn’t look good I’m afraid, not good at all. June 14, 2014. As I’ve...
