On Valentine's Day, Perry Library patrons were treated to a wonderful concert by Henderson native Raynah Adams. Mr. Adams performed selections from Perry Como, Frank Sinatra, and Billy Eckstine. All kids, even if they weren't able to be a part of the reading program, were invited to have some refreshments and win prizes at our games. It's a simple, inexpensive and super fun craft that lets kids show off their creative sides! And remember, just because it's edible doesn't mean it tastes good! Logie Meachum at Storyfest 2010. July 10 was our Luau Party, part of the summer reading program. There were grass skirts for all, some wild hula-hooping, and lots of fun. The party also marked Ms. Jeriann's last day at Perry. We will miss you! After the tomatoes were picked, some chose to stay around and blow bubbles for a while. It was a beautiful day to be outside!

Library patrons and community members flocked to Perry Library on Saturday to hear author Deborah Brown speak about her latest book, The Joy of Mourning Glories. She wrote the book as part of the healing process after her son, Spc. Lunsford Bernard “Deuce” Brown II, was killed in Iraq in 2003.
