The site by a programmer with crash-course projects. As a part of Mobile App Development, I made a Connect 4 game in HTML5 ( canvas and JavaScript). The win detection was challenging to implement. I encourage you to look at the source code. One of the requirements of the project was to make sure only one object (a ConnectFour constructor function) was exposed to the page. Every variable of the game must be located in that function, to prevent cluttering the global scope. This text should have changed.

This simple maze generator uses the depth-first method to make a maze of any odd-by-odd dimensions. Its an ideal project for anyone who wants to demonstrate good recursion comprehension. Its an application of the depth-first search method of maze generation. There are two versions: C# and Python. The Python version is simpler, but the C# version solves itself.

I used the diamond-square algorithm to generate a heightmap, then used ncurses to display it in the terminal with colors and varying-intensity ASCII characters. A top-down view of a sandy beach. The diamond-square algorithm basically takes a 2D array and subdivides it, generating random points as it goes deeper. The end result is the 2D array being filled with values in the range 0.0 to 1.0 in what looks like terrain.
