At the age of 18, the Pavlovsk children are moved into one of St. Petersburg’s residential adult homes and remain there until they die; one such home is located in Peterhof, which lies on the southern shores of the Gulf of Finland, 30km from St. Petersburg. How you can help. Children's Home in Pavlovsk. The aim of the Charity has been to improve on the basic minimum, already provided by the State social system, by itself supplying additional helpers, material support, therapeutic and care materials and equipment, designed for use by the disabled. We have added substantially to the amount of physiotherapy provided by the State and recently have started a “Riding for the Disabled” group for those children who can benefit from it. How you can help. Families are often advised by the Social Services to put their disabled child into a State home. Our experience of State-run homes is such that we consider this should be a final option. It is therefore vitally important to give support to families who want to try and keep their child at home.
