I finally have a road bike - Darxus
http://darxus.livejournal.com/327075.html
I finally have a road bike. I finally have a road bike. Ten years ago I bought Specialized Rockhopper. Mountain bike, because I wanted a bike that could withstand anything. Then I mostly used it on the street, and hated how inefficient it felt. So I finally fixed that problem. 2013 Specialized Allez Compact. Kryptonite evolution 4 mini-9 lock. 9/9/13 06:15 pm (UTC). Does the Allez have road centric gearing? Hard to tell from the url; or perhaps other road centric things? How is it more efficient? But the...

Got the press home and in the shop - Doug Ayens Blacksmithing Blog. Got the press home and in the shop. Oct 31st, 2014 06:49 pm. My birthday present to myself this year is a hydraulic forging press, something Ive wanted for a couple of decades but could never really justify the expense for. On the truck. Using a fork lift, it took about 5 minutes to load. Hey, look, its a fly(ing) press! All this, of course, ignores the really important question: What color should I paint the press? Actually, that's what...

I don't have any advice, but. 2014-06-01 03:48 am (UTC). Sounds like a dirty commutator or worn brush. Should be fixable. 2014-06-01 05:01 am (UTC). I don't see a brush port, though some disassembly may be required. What would I look for for a dirty commutator? 2014-06-02 03:01 am (UTC). 2014-06-20 06:20 pm (UTC). New one on order.

Oh, I guess I should mention this at some point - Crazy Little White-Haired Freak. Oh, I guess I should mention this at some point. Oh, I guess I should mention this at some point. So ages ago,. And I applied for a spot on the Mongol Rally. The general idea there is 'start in London, get a car, drive to Mongolia, raise money for some useful cause or another'. We didn't get a spot and were waitlisted, waaaaaay down on the list. A couple of weeks ago, they emailed us. Did we want a spot? Bon voyage, y'all!

Don't order books from Amazon unless you plan to read them ASAP - Sanctum Sanctorum Mark II. A little piece of the holy of holies away from the holy of holies. 09:48 pm November 1st, 2011. Don't order books from Amazon unless you plan to read them ASAP. Well, I am done buying books from Amazon. Any sane bookstore would realize the 1:1 replacement request is because the book is damaged. Amazon doesn't even have a place to click for that. Just warnings and policy pages. Or Leave a comment. Well mmm. if...

May 5th, 2014. Received a new spindle in the mail! It's a turkish spindle, which means it has crossbars you wrap the yarn around, and when you're done, the crossbars can be removed, leaving a center-pull ball. It's a tiny thing, 4" long, with a cocobolo shaft and holly crossbars, weighs less than an ounce, spins beautifully. [pictured]. Went to a silent movie, with live accompaniment on a bona fide Wurlitzer Organ, played by one of the best theatre organists alive today! Split a braid of Merino/Silk, ver...
