Zondag 14 oktober 2007. Na al mijn omzwervingen ter land ter zee en in de lucht, ben ik eindelijk weer thuis en ik kan jullie zeggen dat dat heel goed voelt. Als je weet dat je reis een einddoel en datum heeft, dan leef je daar ongemerkt toch naartoe. Woensdag 10 oktober 2007. Toen we Tarapoto in het donker binnen kwamen was ik gelijk gescharmeerd van de stad. Geen wonder natuurlijk, als je net de dodenrit uit Yurimaguas hebt overleefd ;-) ,maar de stad zag er vriendelijk uit. Ik moest denken aan een Enschede met de gemoedelijke uitstraling van een Haaksbergen. Vanmorgen moest ik die mening herzien. Tarapoto heeft eigenlijk helemaal niks. Nee fout! Woensdag 10 oktober 2007. Die wonderschone reis van Yurimaguas naar Tarapoto door de hoge jungle met steile kliffen en watervallen? Even gekletst met een Turk die in een Peruaans meisje die hij zijn "inlaw" noemde zijn grote liefde heeft gevonden en na ongeveer een half uur kwam er beweging in de stoet van wel zeker 50 wagens. De rest van de weg was adembenemend en dan heb ik het dus niet over het uitzicht! Dikke knuffel van ons 3-tjes xxx. 10 oktober 2007 23:12. Dag lieve Tineke ;-). Tot de volgende week.

Vrijdag 12 oktober 2007. Nou dat was het dan. Ik sta weer met beide benen op de grond en dat gaf me toch een klap! Gisteren vertrokken vanuit een smoorheet Tarapoto en vanmorgen opgestaan in een grauw en nat en kil Lima. Goed, uiteindelijk met non en al bij een taxi aangekomen waar we allerhartelijkst met een zoen afscheid hebben genomen. Ik ben zelden iemand tegen gekomen die zo zonder enige reserves in het leven staat en die haar medemens zo open en hartelijk tegemoet treed! Breakfast people, BREAKFAST!
