Sep 8, 2008. We woke up to a beautiful day! Another favorite photo was of a woman walking down the street in Chinchera. She’s the oldest woman in their community, estimated to be 112 years old. She is blind, but graciously accepted coins in exchange for photographs. She was such a delight! That wrapped up our morning tour of a small town in the farming and weaving community of Chinchera. We headed back to the hotel to freshen up and have lunch before heading out for the rest of the afternoon. Jul 15, 2008.

Thanks to many of you who read this, and some who don’t, the Volunteers in my region were able to put on a super successful leadership camp for girls about a month ago. And when I say super successful, I mean SUUUUPER successful. How do I gauge the successfulness? My girls had a blast. I kept checking in with them throughout the weekend and their response was always the same: “This is so fun! We’re making so many friends! THIS IS SO COOL!
