Tapping like Riverdance: March 2009
http://jadonbjj.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Monday, 30 March 2009. The great BJJ pigrimage and other news. This whole thing is further made more possible by the legendary Slideyfoot who has created a BJJ map of the UK! Which really puts the whole thing into perspective, its around 150 clubs strong. See the map here. Im still trying to work out some idea's to maybe get some sort of funding for the travel, or maybe sports relief sponsorship. Andy had a great idea about doing a T shirt as well with all the clubs on the back (band tour stylee). Taught...

Tapping like Riverdance: February 2009

Tuesday, 17 February 2009. De la riva massacres small defenceless orphans. Best of the comp by far but I had to disqualify him for “bad manners” as we say in the orphanage. We all laughed though and he was happy enough with the throw. Next lesson I decide to work on some of the mistakes I saw common in their matches. On holding guard, stand up passing, counter/sweep to stand up pass and grip fighting. Links to this post. Wednesday, 4 February 2009. Lets talk jiu jitsu though. Sit up sweep goes with kimura.

Tapping like Riverdance: April 2009
http://jadonbjj.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 29 April 2009. My friend Terry was awesome enough to take me to another club he had trained at previously. Run by blackbelt Steve Haydock, which recently joined the carlson gracie family. Check their website out. The lesson focused on chokes from the back - more details on that later. All in all a great class, Steve is a really cool guy and these guys train hard. Again I would reccomend this club. I need to find some man drama or this will make for a boring final write up! Links to this post.

Thursday, 28 January 2010. Jiu jitsu brotherhood wisdom. To maximize your potential as a jiu-jitsoka, it’s not enough to just head to class every day and go through the motions. You need to approach your training from several angles. Very interesting concept from Nicolas Gregoriades who has just stuck it up on his website: Jiu jitsu brotherhood. Matt Benyon over at Martial farts. Links to this post. Monday, 18 January 2010. Now thats more like it. Private wise I didnt cover anything really specific just ...

Tapping like Riverdance: Good vibes
http://jadonbjj.blogspot.com/2010/02/good-vibes.html
Saturday, 20 February 2010. Ive been stuffing my face with pizza and takeaway the last 2 weeks, felt abit shit at training (an incentive to eat well! But was mystified at somehow losing weight. Am now 67kg. Ive noticed two things of interest recently:. We put alot of effort into taking care of our physical health so that we can train but the mental aspects are just as important. If you attack every less experienced partner with the aim of submitting them as often and effortlessly as possible then you...

Tapping like Riverdance: December 2008
http://jadonbjj.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Sunday, 28 December 2008. Been reading this book over Christmass (Jiu jitsu university - Saulo Ribiero), really enjoying it. Giving me lots of ideas for articles and Im only 1/5th of the way through. Survival postures, dead angles for sweeps, many escapes including one where you turn away from side control (normaly a bad idea as it leads to them on your back). Any comments and critisms you have would be great to read. To much christmass food for me, its not gonna be fun working this off. This guy looks b...

Thursday, 13 August 2009. It occured to me I havnt blogged about normal everyday BJJ training for awhile. So thought I would include a short update. I found this pass a really interesting way of using hip pressure and a low posture to create an angle to pass. Goes by many names it seems so Ill let the video explain:. Found through bullshido and then Aesopians blog. Links to this post. Tuesday, 11 August 2009. MMA and muay thai monday madness. Another warm up. 2 brazilians walked in wondering about cl...
