The store is so little that once you enter and turn you're standing outside again. I read myself through the jungle of thai signs (which I have no clou about ) so I am just choosing by the pictures on the items and leave backwards the store. Posted by Head over heel at 11:51 AM. Everything has its reasons. Thursday, November 23, 2006. My hubby comes out of a very religious background. He left it after Barmitzvah and went to live with his father who pratice judaism more secular. His parents divorced when he was 7. His mother and his two brother are today still very religous. Today my hubby has a soso relationship with his mother, no relationship with his middle brother and a fanstatic relationship with his youngest brother. Not so his middle brother. Ramblings of a 55 year old wife and mom with a passion for icecream and t.v. Saturday, March 14, 2009. For those of you who have followed this blog, you know that Mr. Cruisin's attempts at fixing this house have been great fodder for my writings. And so, once again I present another one of Mr. Cruisin's escapades, only this time it comes to you in his own words. Please give a big hand for my guest blogger.my old man. The typical protocol is for me to walk around with a shovel ( which my mother always tol...

Ramblings of a 55 year old wife and mom with a passion for icecream and t.v. Friday, February 06, 2009. Wanna freak your kids out? Get yourself a facebook account. One of my friends told me I MUST get on facebook. Who am I to not follow the directions of a good friend? So, I did. What started as a place for college students to connect, has blown up into a monster of "cool connections" for every age. Even old fogies like myself. But here's what I've noticed about Facebook. And on and on. Subscribe to: Pos...

Ramblings of a 55 year old wife and mom with a passion for icecream and t.v. Tuesday, May 27, 2008. Goodbye Sydney.and thanks. Two years ago, I wrote this post. Upon hearing of Sydney Pollack's death, I decided to re-post this, in tribute to a great film maker. Without Sydney, who knows.maybe my first date with Mr. Cruisin' wouldn't have led to the following. I had just broken up with someone. Way, you know, potential husband material.because he was, well.taken. What more could a girl ask for? A few days...

cruisin-mom: sax appeal
http://cruisin-mom.blogspot.com/2008/10/sax-appeal.html
Ramblings of a 55 year old wife and mom with a passion for icecream and t.v. Saturday, October 25, 2008. Is it just me, or does anyone else notice that every song released in the 1980's had a sultry sax jump in at some point? Is the Window to Our Soul. What made you think of St. Elmo's Fire? Boy I feel so old watching that - and I never knew Andie MacDowell was in the movie. As for the sax and yes, many of the songs from then, had that in it. Maybe leftover from the more sutry jazz from the 70's.

Ramblings of a 55 year old wife and mom with a passion for icecream and t.v. Tuesday, November 18, 2008. Put another candle on my birthday cake.I'm another year old today. What's a cheap way to get people to comment on your blog? Well, remind them it's your birthday. Yep, had to go and change my age at the top once again. When I started this thing, I was 50. I still love ice cream. I still love t.v. I can still make my husband laugh, so I suppose that's a good thing at the age of 53. My kids, well, I ima...

Ramblings of a 55 year old wife and mom with a passion for icecream and t.v. Friday, February 18, 2011. Yep, I'm still cruisin'. It's been so long since I've been here, that I didn't even realize my age had changed. Yep, I'm now a 55 year old wife and mom. Still eating too much ice cream and watching way too much t.v. Still love American Idol. Dancing with the Stars? Ah, not so much. I miss feeling inspired to write here. But who knows, maybe this little post will bring forth some inspiration.

cruisin-mom: There's no place like home
http://cruisin-mom.blogspot.com/2006/09/theres-no-place-like-home.html
Ramblings of a 55 year old wife and mom with a passion for icecream and t.v. Sunday, September 03, 2006. There's no place like home. When I was 5 years old, we moved from "the city" to "the valley". If you live in Los Angeles, you know what that means. I have touched on this subject. The valley was the place that a young couple could comfortably afford to buy a home, away from the city, and raise a family. Many years ago, after the birth of my second child, the enormity of taking care of two children led...
