Saturday, April 11, 2009. First Week in Egypt. Well we made it safely to Cairo on Monday night and got picked up from the airport and taken to our hotel. Getting our visa at the airport was interesting but not difficult – at least not for us! Caught the train up to Alexandria on the Mediterranean Coast Tuesday morning. We got 1. The fort, the library and the "Death Star". Have had quite a few weird looks so far with my clothes - at least that's what I think it is. Had a t-shirt on today in Alexandria...

Sunday, March 11, 2007. View from the balcony of our room. Saturday we checked in and chilled out. On Sunday we drove into Malaga and spent the day. Did a walking tour around the city. Dave, Debbie and I in Malaga. Also went to the Picasso museum which was great. He actually came from Malaga so there were heaps of his paintings and sculptures as well as his sketches and stuff. Then in the basement there was an archaelogical digging site, which was kind of weird but oh well. The journey home was broken up...

Sunday, April 22, 2007. An easter trip to Portugal. Over the Easter weekend Luke and I flew to Lisbon to spend a hopeful 4 days in a warmer climate and some sun. We left on the Friday morning, had to be at the airport around 5am, so made for a very early morning and straight after my birthday drinks, I was slightly under the weather and very tired. Our hotel was in Estoril, along the Coast west of Lisbon. Sunday was our rest and relaxation day and was to be spent lying on the beach in the sun. Unluck...

Monday, May 22, 2006. Guess where i'm going in June. Big news to announce. news has already leaked to a few so we might as well tell everyone. Callan and I are going to the WORLD CUP in Germany! We got second round offers for the camping tour and found out only 2 weeks ago. Saturday, April 29, 2006. Finally i've begun typing up the diary. Hopefully i'll still remember everything by the time i finish writing it. I haven't focused on the language much, otherwise it'll feel like work. so here goes. Saturday, March 25, 2006. All ready for Contiki. I met up with a guy who is a comon friend of Renee's last night. nice to meet some new faces, got home at 5 though (as it took a while to catch 2 buses home). so got to see a bit of the nightlife of Londan (Fulham actually). Also had lunch with my other cousin Charmaine. She has completely lost her auzzie accent in 2 years, very amusing. During the week, I signed up with 2 recruitment agencies online. within 10mins i got a call from one! And thats about it...

Saturday, September 02, 2006. The Scottish Highlands was everything i imagined it to be, rugged barren and cool. I left work at lunch and caught an afternoon flight to edinburgh. i booked my hostel for the wrong night and they were booked out that night, so callan got a lunchtime phone call to find me something and luckily he did.
