Tuesday, 15 July 2008. FINA World Cup Open Water Grand Prix, Jarak to Sabac Swim Marathon, Serbia, July 13th 2008. Leaving home after work on Wednesday July 09, 2008, we set off for our hotel for the night at Heathrow, The Great Western, wondering what lay ahead for us over the next few days. What had started out in 2006 as a fundraising mission to swim the English Channel in my wife's year as the Mayor of Bury St Edmunds in 2006 - 2007. I wanted to finish the 19KM swim. 3) I didn't want to come last.

Tuesday, 14 January 2014. Hoffy's Chilly Dip 2014! Well, it's been a long time since my last cold water swim, but when the lovely Lucy Alfred, Design and Events Officer at St. Nicholas Hospice Care (SNHC) in Bury St Edmunds, e-mailed me and asked if I would be interested in a 10 length swim at 6 degrees Centigrade, how could I possibly refuse? He merely had to look at 300 people all similarly dressed to...
