Referring of course to the "On-Air" antics of a minority of "Fellow Hams" who persist in calling on a frequency when the DX station clearly states "Up", (whatever), worse - keying over the top of said "DX" station - it's not a new phenomena, it's been with us for a while festering away. Hello everyone again, new year greetings and all that – this is my first “official” post of this new year 2013 and somehow I felt it was time to enter the fray since I’ve not been on here too much over the last 9 months or so, so here goes. We have (I think) seen mention of these cursed things before but I thought it prudent to mention it on here as we were only speaking of them this very morning on a local 2m net. So be extra careful with these. To keep removing/replacing them.

Low Power CW and Digital. Am I wrong in assuming modes like Jt65 / 9 are "supposed" to be "Low Power Propagation" modes and using "Low Power"? And by Low Power I mean 5 - 10w. I ask this question as I recently saw mention of this both on air and forums, and judging by some of the signals received, well - theye're certainly not 5w - 10w in my opinion - maybe I have misinterpreted? It turns out that when I was winding and installing T2, I got the primary / secondary leads mixed up so the signals were not getting out of the bandpass filter. That was very easy to correct but I took the opportunity to rewind both T1 and T2 to make a neater job of it.
