Sunday, June 7, 2015. MtBaker. last ski of the season? For the past four years now, Becky and I have done a summer ski of Mt.Baker.usually as our last ski tour of the season. Given how fast the snowpack is disappearing this season, we figured it was time to get Baker instead of waiting till mid-July like most years. Sunday, February 10, 2013. Busy weekend. Alpental to Granite Mtn traverse and Mt.Roosevelt ski. Alpental to Granite traverse-. Becky and I had plans to do the traverse from Snoqualmie Pass to Granite Mtn a few days ago when Saturday's forecast looked a bit sunnier, but we figured we might as well give it a go today despite the less than sunny weather. Fun tour, a good adventure.hopefully next time we'll have some views. Becky skiing the first pitch down from Bryant Col to Melakwa Lake.

Sunday, July 5, 2015. MtOlympus - Blue glacier route. Link to photo album. Earlier in the year, Andy had tossed out the idea of climbing Mt.Olympus over July 4. Making plans months in advance, especially for an objective in the extremely wet Olympic Range rarely pans out, but we all penciled it in. Fast forward to June and the disappointing ski season had basically wrapped up and the continued high pressure and perfect weather is making an Olympus climb look like a pretty likely destination for the Fourth.

We had originally thought about climbing Rainier this weekend, but we had family in town visting, so we couldn't be gone the whole weekend. Sunday, January 26, 2014. MtRainier - Camp Muir, Nisqually chutes ski. Todd, Ross, Kirsten, Becky, and I headed down to Rainier on Saturday for a Camp Muir to the Nisqually bridge ski. Skiing to the Nisually Bridge is always a treat, as one starts the day from Paradise (5500ft), climbing up to Muir (10,000ft) and then descending to the bridge (4000ft), so you get an extra 1500ft of skiing without having to climb for it.as long as you have a car shuttle set up or get lucky hitching a ride.
