http://moosler.blogspot.com/2011/05/i-can-make-pad-thai.html
Sunday, May 22, 2011. I can make pad thai. When it comes to cooking I fancy myself an advanced intermediate. Gumbo, pasta, salads, pizza, fried chicken, etc. are all above average. With a decent recipe, some time to shop and execute, there's nothing. The sauce correct at the same time. It must be the longest standing effort to get a dish consistently good that I've undertaken. Two of the recipes I've tried are shown below, with the requisite battle stains demonstrating their use. For documentation in the...

Tuesday, November 29, 2005. Please stop hugging my kid. Turkey dinner was great and included cheesy potatoes which are normally Christmas fare. What a treat. On Friday evening Reen and I went out with Mom and Dad for dinner at Speckled Hen. Where I enjoyed a Scotch egg. Thing, unable to get away. This girl was like an overzealous lamprey. Leaving Mike leaning across the table with his hand pressing against her chest trying to separate her from his daughter, saying Please stop hugging my kid! On the flip ...

Sunday, October 30, 2005. The weather outside was frightful. Reen and I arrived at Gillette last night around 6:30pm, with snow on the ground and continuing to fall. It was quite dark and wet and uncomfortable as we lit the grill and tried to enjoy ourselves. The field inside had snow on most of it. The players looked sluggish and the quality of the game was poor, as passes skipped about or stopped dead in the snow. 0-0 at halftime. Steady rain. $7 hot chocolate in a. Is faced with the 3x World Cup vetra...

Monday, August 29, 2005. What a crazy busy weekend for us. Up to Stoughton for a visit to the Boston Bed Company. Sunday finds us up and at church in the morning and with a bit of free time in the afternoon. Much to her credit, Reen made it to the beach, something we’ve done appalling little of given our proximity to the salty sea. That evening we drove in to Cambridge to have dinner with Pete and Susanne. Friday, August 19, 2005. And just for the record, Reen and I will. Thursday, August 18, 2005. I fel...

Friday, July 22, 2005. Is moving too. My lure is stuck there and will remain so until purposefully removed. I choose the latter approach and let me tell you that the water is fine. Swimming on a summer night is always a thrill. Wednesday, July 13, 2005. Monday, July 11, 2005. A bit belated but the 4th was fun. Jay came down Sunday and joined Reen and I at a friend's house for a party. We got to see the fireworks (disappointing) and generally had a nice time. Up to Erin and Dan’s on the 4th it...A little ...

Sunday, April 04, 2010. Country ham.the conclusion. I did well at changing the water in the cooler twice a day, once before I went to work and again in the evening before bed. I just used water from the hose each time. In the end the ham soaked for about 42 hours. God help me but I did taste the smallest bit of ham water from the cooler prior to draining it for the last time. I couldn't taste any salt so I figured that while things were likely still in a hypotonic state, the osmotic pressure. When I chec...

Friday, February 25, 2005. Glad we're not dead. Reen and I were at Mom and Dad's in Plymouth and came home in the late afternoon. The power was out but there was already an NStar truck outside so we just went about our business waiting for the lights to come on. The big house was without power and the 3 other apartments had some electrical stuff fried. The guy below us lost everything that was plugged in at the time. Not cool. We got out with a single blown fuse. Let's hear it for happy endings.

Tuesday, August 14, 2007. It was a good weekend for folks like me*. The English Premier League kicked off on Saturday, so seeing the To Do List stacked with EPL games was just joyful. I got to watch 1 whole game, one half game and pieces of a 3rd match on Saturday and those games included 5 Americans on the field. Then Reen offered that we could stop at Taco Bell* on the way back and she would drive us home from there so I could enjoy my Nacho Supreme and Mountain Dew. I told you she was awesome. Sausage...

Thursday, June 30, 2005. Mr and mrs sandy pants. Here’s a quick recap from our time at the shore. Chris and Becky are pregnant with twins. The Revs v. DC game was on TV for some reason and the Phillies were already done for the day so I got to watch the game. Our dinner for 20 of home made sausage, home made mustard and Osler potato salad was well received. Our dessert of Brigham’s. Milkshakes was also well received, and drinking them will help to fight off osteoporosis. We got to spend a week with Fiona.
