This is a picture of the hummingbird that we saw in our garden. The photo is a bit blurry because its using the digital zoom, taken from about 2 meters away. Those purple flowers are about two centimeters long so the hummingbird is only 3 centimeters long! Posted by Lhiannee @ 3:40 PM. Tuesday, October 25, 2005. Long Time No ...

The Ruminator: What I did on my summer holiday
http://theruminator.blogspot.com/2006/01/what-i-did-on-my-summer-holiday.html
Come on up and grab yourself a beer. Tuesday, January 03, 2006. What I did on my summer holiday. Spent time with my family - a particularly good thing to do over Christmas. If only my brother and sister-in-law were here too. Spent time with friends - both new friends I made in 2005, and friends from school and uni days, including visiting expatriates Doug. Learned how to mount photos (thanks Pete. And decorated my apartment with pictures of my family and my recent travels. Happy 2006 everyone. :-). I lik...

The Ruminator: A quick catch up
http://theruminator.blogspot.com/2006/02/quick-catch-up.html
Come on up and grab yourself a beer. Friday, February 03, 2006. A quick catch up. I would like to be able to say 'OK, I haven't updated my blog for ages, but that's because I've been really busy doing .' But I'm hard pressed to come up with stuff I have been really busy with. It's not like I've been studying, or deeply involved in charity work or something. Change of career direction or corporate climb? Stability or a new challenge? Some days it feels as if time is flying by. I'm lucky enough to stil...

Come on up and grab yourself a beer. Thursday, April 03, 2003. Ah, fresh victims for my ever-growing army of the undead. I have a new flunkey today, a shiny, fresh-faced intern. For the next several months she is mine! I think I will ease her in to the madness of our office environment before warping her fragile little mind. Little does she know that she is but a small part of my ultimate long term goal. What is that? Same thing we do every night Pinky - try to take over the world! Mwah ha ha ha ha!

Come on up and grab yourself a beer. Monday, July 11, 2005. To do list (life):. Go to Egypt and see the pyramids. Learn to ride a motorbike. Learn to cook different types of food. Learn to brake, and go backwards, on rollerblades. Do a photography course. I should also add that my life has not exactly been a graveyard of buried dreams and fearful hesitation. I’ve actually done some deeply cool things in the last few years, including, but not limited to:. Jumping out of a plane. OK, maybe it would help if...

The Ruminator: Experimental Cookery - Episode 1
http://theruminator.blogspot.com/2005/11/experimental-cookery-episode-1.html
Come on up and grab yourself a beer. Tuesday, November 22, 2005. Experimental Cookery - Episode 1. I suspect I am not alone in having several cookbooks that look good on my shelf, but which I have never used for anything more than browsing through and thinking, ‘that looks nice’. In the spirit of personal improvement I have invoked on this website in the past. With the able assistance of my dinner guest / guinea pig / assistant chef / dishwasher Pete. Posted by Marissa @ 3:14 pm. It's always nice to know...

Come on up and grab yourself a beer. Thursday, March 13, 2003. I'm back, what did I miss? I’m actually back at work again, and look like making it through the whole day. I quite like the idea of having several days off work then going in on Friday, just in time to have the weekend off. Of course, it would only really be fun if I wasn't sick. Given that I am still feeling a little scattered today, I bring you a random collection of things I noticed today. A Fox network affiliate in America has pulled.

When I got home, Reuben had cleaned the house and left vases of flowers in each room :) :) So I took photos of them. Reuben has had streaks put in his hair and he just dyed them a dark red. It looks very rock star. I have to get some photos of him to put up. Posted by Lhiannee @ 1:55 PM. Tuesday, September 27, 2005.

These kids were calling out "Hello" from their window to us. I love the smile on the girl's face. A lot of the kids were wearing these colorful hats. The cat picture below is for Jasmine! Cats in China were a lot smaller than here (except our little cat Emma! To spend in Lijiang with her new friends. Posted by Lhiannee @ 11:10 AM.
