July 20, 2009. As we prepare for our long and arduous 24-hour flight home, only two words come to mind: complete satisfaction. June 28, 2009. It's no wonder people know more about Bali than the country it inhabits. It oozes culture on every cobble-stoned corner: women effortlessly carry baskets on trained heads, Hindu "god" offerings are scattered all over the streets, and traditional dances and songs are performed every night. The weather is also enjoyable - cool, crisp, and temperate - not like our loathed 95 degree Gorontalo days. Yes.we absolutely fell in LOVE with Bali! A little story from Peter about renting motorcycles.

October 21, 2008. Last weekend we went to Lombongo- a city about 8 miles away from Gorontalo where we hiked to a waterfall. However, we were told this would be an "easy" hike, "maybe 20 minutes Ibu Jonna", said our guide.but it wasn't easy; not at all. Here is a picture of our hiking crew. This is a language exchange program Peter and I joined to learn Indonesian and help others learn English. We felt differently. :). This girl really liked Peter. :). The "universal Asian peace" sign:. December 25, 2008. We have spent the last few days traveling around the island, Sumatra. We began our adventure in Banda Aceh, where Jonna was asked to present to 100 different teachers. She did a wonderful job and everyone asked her to come back to Aceh soon. This was one of the desolate beaches. This is the freighter the was thrown 7 km inland.
